As November draws to a close along with this months 1v1 Ladder, it highlights the beginning of the Battle for Middle-earth's first ever Ladder Tournament. As many of you should be aware, at the end of the month the 1v1 Ladder shall be reset for the next two months. The players who finish within the top 12 ranks will be invited to come participate in an end of month Ladder Tournament (1v1 format).
There is currently a prize on offer for the winner of the Ladder Tournament; the long outstanding one-year GameReplays subscriber status. Along with winning this prize, the winners of the Ladder Tournament and Ladder will be entered into the
Battle for Middle-earth's Hall of Ladder Champions.
Ladder Tournament ScheduleWith previous tournaments run over GameReplays, we have expereienced them dragging out for far too long or in some cases never being completed. With this schedule we hope to have the tournament completed in just a little over a week. The schedule is as follows:
Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th - Play Offs
Monday 5th - Thursday 8th - Quarter Finals
Friday 9th and Saturday 10th - Semi Finals
Sunday 11th - Final
All games are scheduled to take place at 8pm (GMT) on the specific date, unless players agree to another time. However, games must not take place outside the tournament schedule. Also we hope to have a few of the games broadcasted live, arrangements for this still need to be made. You will be informed if your game is going to be broadcasted. We can almost garuntee that the Final will be broadcasted.
Ladder Tournament Rules- All matches are Best of Three. Each players is to host one game each, if it's tied after the first two games then a third will be played on a neutral host.
- All matches are to be played on Fords of Isen.
- All players are welcome to choose whichever Army they please (inclucing random). They must however stick with this Army throughout the Ladder Tournament.
- Any form of cheating will not be tolerated and will result in a ban from the Ladder Tournament and both Ladders.
- Replays are to be uploaded into the Replay Section and linked to the correct Ladder Tournament topic.
- If a player doesn't show up and hasn't agreed on a different time or has in no way indicated he may not be available, they'll either be replaced or disqualified.
On December 1st you will receive a PM inviting you to come participate, it will be appreciated if you can respond quickly to the PM. This will allow us to find replacements if someone doesn't wish to participate or can't due to other commitments. The bracket will also be published on this date.
There still remains a few days to play on this months current 1v1 Ladder, so don't feel you are too late to qualify! Much can change between now and the end of November. Also please note that whilst the 1v1 Ladder Tournament is running you can still play Ladder games on both of our Ladders. The 1v1 Ladder however, as already stated, will be reset on December 1st (00:00 GMT).
