After 8 months of dominating both the on and offline scenes,
ButtonBashers' the
Call of Duty 4 team, has decided to hang it up.
ButtonBashers has had numerous line-up issues recently. There has been many unsuccessful attempts in trying to finding a stable 5th man to fit into the team. Which was compounded by the loss of motivation of one of their key players,
Pietje, who has decided to leave gaming to focus on military school. These events have lead to the unfortunate end to a great and successful team. During their time of playing together, the team has gathered over €16,000 (or $21,904) in prize money under the
ButtonBasher tag. An impressive mark to be sure.
Although lots of the ex-
ButtonBashers have decided to leave the world of competitive gaming behind, at least one remains. He is arguably one of the best snipers in the EU scene; none other than
Stevy. It took less than a day after
Stevy officially left
ButtonBasher for another top team,
Team Fnatic, to picked him up.
Stevy will be filling in as the sniper for
Fnatic in place of the previous sniper,
rivve, who will now be picking up the assault class. However,
tidde, due to personal reasons, will be playing as backup for
Fnatic.
Fnatic is hoping these changes will bring them a victory for the up coming major summer LAN tournaments. Look for
Fnatic to be making a strong showing this summer.
