Zero Hour World Series 2012: Finals

By MrX - 24th February 2012 - 13:36 PM

Hello Generals,

with the Semi Finals behind us, we are now looking forward to the Finals between Ruiz and SiZe. The winner will know the honour of being crowned the World Series 2012 Champion and will receive 150 Dollar. Will SiZe claim the victory again or will it be the underdog Ruiz who takes home the trophy?

Aside from the main act, the other two Semi-Finalists, KaRRo and GooGle, will fight for the bronze medal.
Both battles will take place on the familiar grounds of Tournament Desert in a Best of 9 match.

Map of the Finals: Tournament Desert

IPB Image

There's hardly anything we can say about Tournament Desert that everyone doesn't already know. It's one of the most balanced, if not the most balanced official maps. As it's played so often we can be sure that the contestants will be at their best on this map.

The Finals

SiZe vs Ruiz - Monday 18:00 GMT
After hard fights vs RaGe and ExCaL, SiZe had to beat GooGle in the Semi Finals. In the end he won 4-0 including three bad matchups. Hence it prooves the that SiZe is currently in a very good shape and the clear favourite to win the first prize in this tournament. However Ruiz surprised us by beating KaRRo 4-2. A longer time ago -July 2011- Ruiz and SiZe last time spammed many matches against each other. The result after 68 played 1v1 games on Tournament Desert were 66 wins for SiZe and 2 wins for Ruiz. But now 7 month later all this doesn't count anymore. Only the matches that these two player are going to play on Monday will be important.

Rank 3

KaRRo vs GooGle - Friday 15:00 GMT
It is very funny that exactly these two players are playing these matches because they already done this in 2011 as KaRRo was beating GooGle and ended up as third. However this time the winner will receive money. So both players have to play their best to provide us good entertainment and to get the cash. According to GooGle DFS is going to stream these matches live.
