This game sees vChina struggling against it's arch-nemesis, Dr. Thrax's GLA Toxin on Final Crusade. After surviving the initial onslaught and going air, -DoMiNaToR- quickly pushed TazMaNy's GLA back across the river. However, the resources are getting scarce and both side's have their derricks eliminated. Who will prevail in the breathtaking finish of this 1v1?

Also, I was totally hoping that Final Crusade(Fixed) will be just a disguised Tournament desert sad.gif

Spoiler

I really loved the opening, it felt that you had, as opposed to the standard vChina scenario so much map control and as the Oil grab was successful, it really jump-started the economy and you could easily contest some of the pushes just by having the appropriate amounts of units to defend.

The decision to go air was a brilliant one, this was able to save your entire mid-game and let you hold the map as well as getting rid of some critical tunnels. Overall the awareness of the battlefield was pretty great, loved that you stopped the tunnel on the bottom left.

The only slight mistake i saw was actually investing into the inferno cannons, as the lategame neared and you were starting to get starved for resources, it just seemed that this wasn't the 'meat' you wanted to put on the ground. I think that just 1 Overlord would've been more threatening, especially as against vChina that can't really go for these lategame OL/ECM packs, the opposing player didn't have a Jarmen. Or just go for a couple of more Gatts. The GenPower usage was great thoug, a supreme example how a great placement of these can make or break a game!

Things to improve!
  • If your base is getting owned, try to run away with the Dozer.
  • Always take care when approaching tunnels for a possible mass Quad pop

Spoiler

The start seemed a little bit too slow. I personally would've tried to snipe the Warfactory instead of the Supply Center, I also didn't really like you letting up the aggression with the Technical. There were still holes it could've gotten in and sniped the Dozer, effectively ending the game right there.

You were also a little bit careless with the units, seemed like you just couldn't mount a good offensive until it was too late and the Helixes hit the field. You also didn't really have a good spread of tunnels, as you hadn't a chance to pop out another one to fend the 'lixes off on top. It's always good to have a little more distance between the tunnels, as this allows for safer Quad popping.

It felt a bit weird that you didn't go for the lategame eco a little bit sooner, at least one BM for the shoes would've made a big difference in my eyes. Once the first wave of Helixes went down, you could've just sat back and let it play out into the late game, but the attempted attack on the base was countered by a great Carpet Bomb placement and you had to invest into a new army again to contend with what the China had on the field.

On the plus side, you were able to defend well and after the initial wave of 'lixes you dealt with them superbly, and the lategame push on his base was also pretty great, the one thing missing was a worker being able to run away. With some of the buildings sold, you could've had more scaffolds spread out, possibly winning.

Things to improve!
  • Scrap up! There were about 30 missed scraps in the game, both after big engagements where you could've picked them up after wiping his army and a lone scrap here and there after some minor engagemens!
  • Spread out your tunnels a little bit more! Make the Helixes afraid of what might pop out!
  • Try to 'read' the game a bit more, find out when it's the right time for GLA to turn from the agressor into the 'control' with BM/Tunnel spam

As I actually never give ratings, the only thing I wanna say.. If you haven't seen this one yet, you better check it out wink.gif
