By shocktapus - 22nd October 2012 - 11:53 AM

GameReplays.org is proud to announce the Tiberium Wars League II, the successor to the original Tiberium Wars League tournament held in 2010. The tournament will be hosted over a period of several weeks, with the Grand Finals being played at a later date. Each tournament has a slightly different theme to keep things fresh and interesting, so that everyone has a chance to show off their skills. Who can take away "Wanted"'s crown and become the new Master of Tiberium Wars?

The starting time for the tournaments will stay consistent throughout the entire league. Tournaments alternate between Saturdays and Sundays, starting at 15:00 GMT.

Grand Finals

The eight highest ranking players will enter the grand finals. If two players have the same amount of points, we'll compare their performance in the previous tournaments of the Tiberium Wars League. If a player has won a tournament, he is on higher position than a player who doesn't have any 1st places. If a player has one second place, he is higher ranked than a player who doesn't have any 2nd places. If a player has two second places, he is higher ranked than a player who has only one 2nd place, etc.

The seeding will be done as follows; In group A, the 1st ranked player will play against 8th ranked player and the 4th ranked player will face off with the 5th ranked player. In group B, the 2nd ranked player will play against 7th ranked player while the 3rd ranked player faces off with 6th ranked player.

Out-of-Sync (OOS) Errors

In case of a desync or out-of-sync error, the following policy applies: You must save the replay, and a tournament staff member will review the replay. If there is a clear winner, that player will advance. If not, the match will be replayed. The staff member's decision is final and non-negotiable, and failure to comply with the decision may jeopardize your eligibility for future tournaments. Repeated OOS errors in relation to a particular player may indicate abuse. Should this occur, the player in question may be disqualified and banned from future tournaments.

Cheating/Disconnecting/Dispute Resolution

All reports and issues will be resolved by the tournament manager and the referees. Cheating and intentional disconnecting may result in exclusion from the tournament and a ban from future tournaments hosted by GameReplays.Org. Poor sportsmanship may also result in disqualification from the tournament.

Seeding

For all rounds except the final, seeding will be done through random assignment after the registration has been closed.

Parameters

To compare GMT to your local timezone, you may use one of the following internet services: greenwichmeantime, timeanddate, timezoneconverter.

It is your own responsibility to make sure you show up at the correct time and date. You will not be reminded individually by staff or by a referee. An individual tournament will be finished within an estimated 3-4 hours, so please make sure to clear your schedule in advance.

Being Late

Players that do not show up within 15 minutes of their allocated match time will be disqualified. At this point, an alternate player will replace his/her position, or the opponent will advance. Players are expected to continue playing until eliminated or until the end of the tournament is reached. Failure to play rounds in an expedient manner may result in disqualification.

Match Result Reporting

After the winner of each round has been determined, both players should report the result in the results topic for that tournament, including uploading the replays of the games. Please save ALL replay(s) in case there is a dispute about the result! The finals of the loser bracket, winner bracket and overall final will be refereed.

Counter Picking

If the two players cannot agree on a match-up to play for their current round then please PM a referee informing them that there is a counter-picking dispute. The referee will then join the game and both players must PM him the faction they want to play for that game. After both players have told him their choices, the referee will announce the factions that the two players picked. If a player refuses to play with the faction that they told the referee they would pick then they will forfeit the round.
