Factions

GDI
The GDI (Global Defense Initiative) was formed on October the 12th, 1995 to enforce the United Nations Global Defense Act and uphold the ideals of the United Nations Charter following the realization of the threat Tiberium and the Brotherhood of Nod posed.

GDI is well funded and has some of the most advanced and deadliest technology, from mammoth tanks to the overwhelming power of the Ion Cannon network. Currently the GDI forces protect the designated "blue zones" which are areas of the planet that have so far escaped Tiberium infestation.

Most of the GDI funds however are now aimed at finding solutions to the Tiberium problem and ways in which to combat its spread and its deadly effect on the planet.

Nod
It is unknown when the Brotherhood was formed, their are rumors it dates backs to as early as 1800 BC but nothing has ever been proved. The Brotherhood of Nod or Nod as its often referred to started as a secret society and has seemingly been lurking in the shadows and building support for a very long time.

Lead by the infamous Kane, a seemingly invincible man who has appeared to have died more than once but always resurfaces to the astonishment of the world. He leads the Brotherhood from the shadows and is hell bent on finding the path to ascension which he believes is through Tiberium and after the third Tiberium war it becomes clear he is willing to do anything to reach his goal when he invites a hostel race of aliens known as the Scrin to earth placing the whole planet in mortal danger.

The brotherhood has developed into a faction that utilizes stealth and deceptive tactics to fight its battles, Stealth Tanks, Shadow Teams, Terrorists and much more. The Brotherhood is fueled by anger, anger towards the GDI and most of their support now comes from the abandoned yellow zones.

Campaigns

Not a lot is know yet about the campaigns of Command & Conquer 4. What we do know however is that it will feature a cooperative campaign mode like Red Alert 3 has, their will be multi-class play and integrated player progression. Each faction will feature its own unique and diverse campaign with in depth story and the Tiberium saga will finally reach its exciting climax!
