Let the embarrassment begin...NOW.

Wow, I didn't realize how many times I ran across red cover. I was a little 'nade happy, but it's not worth it. A sniper (or 2) would have changed the game around for me quite a bit - I would have drained MP, and been able to keep the fight at long distance.

Anyone have hints on how to take out that AC? 2 Mines didn't do it, I didn't get 2 shots with at AT, I just couldn't take that damn thing down - it was what really put the hurt on me.

And yes, my mid-end game is awful - when I win, I usually win early, so I have very little practice with longer games and teching appropriately.

A fast Armored Car from the PE can be deadly as it will be uncontested when it hits the field. Usually, if I have most of the map control, I will go infantry company and spam mines. I will quite close to ALWAYS go for an M8 instead of BAR's as it is much more reliant against a PE player. Getting BAR's can result in the scenario as seen in this replay. If you do get BAR's, place some mines and get ready to jump the AC as it hits 1 or 2 of them.

Nice SC. The game was interesting, gave me some moments like you had, when shoutcasting it, where i was begging for a retreat or things like that:)

You just need to use that arty to bigger effect biggrin.gif
Nice game, nice cast.

You should have get stickies more early, wait behind houses or hedges, near mines.. on these spots. You could have "suprised" the AC wink.gif

Those are good ideas. As I've said, I'm pretty new at playing the game, so I like getting hints on what to try and do better. One thing that was strange that game is that the arty seemed to have a big lag between when I targeted an area for an on map hit, and when the first shell landed. Sometimes it was 8-10 seconds later. I'm not sure if the 105 took a long time to turn or something, but it was painful. Is there any way to face the 105 manually?

I know if I had saved the 105 for those big engagements where I had 1 unit in a house (a good bait) and my opponent had a big cluster of infantry attacking, I would have scored many more kills as he was static and in cover. I'll try to keep that in mind for my next game.

I need more micro practice. I was very intent on keeping the m8 alive during that fight with the AC, marder, and 4 squads of PE. The AC pushing behind the green cover surprised me - it was a nice move. I should have focus fired on that with all the rifle squads, I might have been able to kill it.

Lol i was saying i too was beggin you to retreat your squads when you had one of your mad rush in to either nade or sticky. Watching the men get cut down ( althought the 2 nades which took down about 9-10 of his Grens was worth the MP drain & muni's imo)

Great shoutcast in my opinion. Enjoyed it alot. Looking forward to the next one.

Thanks for another great shoutcast Diablo. I have never commented on your shoutcasts, but I always watch them. I find them very informative on what not to do and helpful unit stats or abilities. I hope you continue to enjoy making them.

Nice shoutcast Eldiablo improving with every cast, well informed and interesting. Only mistake I notice was that you called the PE AC an M8 at one point biggrin.gif.

The PE player retreated whenever the US threw a mine, because 1 mine can be devastating (as you saw later on).

The PE player - you need to keep an eye on the VP's obviously. You had plenty of fuel, a P4 sitting on each VP would have won the game, as jim had no AT (rangers < P4). (Does the hotchkiss replace the P4 or is in addition to? I dont have ToV). The end game was for PE to lose.
