Good cast - excellent for a first one, I'd say. It's nice to hear a new voice and perspective.
I don't know how to embed, you'll have to ask someone else.
Re: The switching between Hammer & Power Sword, I think it may be because when he's chasing things or waiting for something to close the distance with him, he wants to do damage with the Plasma Pistol. It does pretty decent damage to Guardians & Banshees.
Haha, well a long version ~ I thought it was great to get some insight to your actions, really made it clear why you were doing whatever.. But maybe next time do a VOD of other people as you tended to focus on what you were doing and missed some stuff the other player was doing.

Other than that...Wicked!
I tried to bear that in mind. In my defence though, there wasn't really much to say about for him as he didn't really gather together that many units until the later game!
I wanted to do this one mostly because I was impressed by his use of the teleporter to defend his vehicles (well mostly his dread). That is what prompted me to make that video. To be honest, I don't often watch replays, as I prefer to develop my own playing style, and it's something that's stopped me posting videos before (as I only had my own to publish). But a great demonstration of what you can do vs eldar as SM was something that these boards needed. I think a lot of SM players could learn from that example, and I think I was lucky to win in some respects. And this is at a time where a lot of SM players are claiming Eldar are nigh-unbeatable.
Although I note that I might be shooting myself in the foot a bit by telling all these SM players about the SP+Banshees trap... but I bet they'll still keep falling for it!
I'll put up the replay itself later when I get home, and you can focus on him to your heart's content

I really enjoyed the shoutcast and in contrast to what someone said earlier I liked that you shoutcasted your own game. The fact that you are able to actually explain exactly what you were thinking at the time gives the commentary a unique spin that other shoutcasts don't have. Your analysis was also more substantive than anything I've seen or read recently. I'd love to see you do some more!

I wasn't saying it was a bad thing, just that he lost focus on what the other player was doing on occasion and failed to talk about it.

Thanks everyone for the positive reviews, I might do more next time I get a good 1v1 to do. I learnt quite a bit about doing it... ie compressing to 400Mb is not enough! [took 3-4hrs to upload to Wegame!]. I play mostly 3v3 and that's a bit hard to narrate as following 6 armies at once might be a touch impossible!
Next time I'll definitely focus on the other guy more, I realised it was a little bit self-centric while I was narrating it, but seeing as I recorded it first then narrated it, I forgot to mention certain things that were happening! For example, if you look closely you'll see that SP go off to cap the bottom-right req point which I run past in my flanking move, which I forgot to mention at the time. Also what I was saying about getting warp-spiders to disable the dread and then doom/melee it with banshees rather than going BL got cut short because I wanted to talk about that excellent FC micro!
*Must learn to talk faster*
I hope it gave you guys some new ideas, or was at least entertaining!
Wow, I actually signed up to the boards to comment! Hope that shows the level of my appreciation for this video!
I play Eldar exclusively, but not well. I had an unfortunate hiatus from DOW2 and now that I've come back to this post-1.9 world I feel somewhat... impotent really. Particularly frustrating, as I keep reading people's moaning about how OP the Eldar are - let me assure them they're not so when under my command!
With that in mind, let me say how useful I found your gamecast - utterly brilliant! I recognise the others' advice that you should comment more on the opponent's strategy, but from my point of view, the 1st-person perspective is just as entertaining, and crucially allows you to explain not just what you did, but why. Essential viewing for any "trainee Eldar" like me!
So my only feedback would be: Do it the same - but more!
Some great usage of the Force Commander and pretty good Banshee micro if I say so myself.
Enjoy!
*Edit2* - Here's the replay:
