GameFlood is hosting a Map and Mod contest worth 25,000 dollars in prizes. The best three mods and maps for each genre will receive cash and prizes totaling these amounts (in US Dollars): 1st prize: 3,000; 2nd prize, 1,000; 3rd prize, 500. The contest covers an extensive range of leading FPS, RPG, and RTS games, including but limited to:
Command and Conquer: Generals
Command and Conquer: Tiberian Sun
Company of Heroes
Counterstrike: Source
Battlefield 2
"The judging will proceed in two different phases. In the first phase, (July 2nd-16th) GameFlood members' downloads and approval ratings for all qualified content will be collected and evaIuated to determine the top 10 mods and maps in each prize category. At the close of the first phase of judging, the top 10 mods and maps selected by the GameFlood community will be presented to the judging panel, who will vote to select the top three in each prize category (and the top mini-mod in each minor category). The winners selected by the panel of judges will be announced on July 27th, 2007."
