We are currently looking for Discussion Moderators for all sections across the GameReplays.org boards. The task of a Discussion Moderator is to uphold a high level of discussion, ensure a healthy environment on the forums and ensure that the forum rules are adhered to by all participants. You will also be equipped with several moderation powers to set posts invisible, move or lock topics etc. Full guidance and training on all of this is available from our ever-helpful, ever-smiling senior moderation team once you are on staff. Likewise, you will also get access to the staff forums and a green Discussion Moderator badge!
In order to be a Discussion Moderator, you need to be a mature and friendly forum member who routinely visits the forums of the section you're applying for. At least once a day on average would be ideal, enough to be able to see developing problems before they get out of hand and neutralize them. We only consider applications from those who have been registered members of Gamereplays for a minimum of 90 days.
If you have any questions about this or if you are interested in becoming moderator, please submit your application to us by sending me a PM and titling it "JDM application for *your section*".

Exactly. Seems like GR as a whole is slow as of late, seeing as how similar sections share a similar fate. SC2, LoL, DotA2, they're all slow/dead. Only CoH is really going strong.

One reason would be the lack of new RTS titles at the moment. There have not been many good releases the past 6 months and so activity have slowly gone down. We got a few coming in soon tho, Dota2 official release, Starcraft 2 HotS and a 3rd one I could swear I have heard about but can not recall at this moment
Ninjabutter is already checking for any potential interest in a portal, and I've already mentioned that, provided that the game isn't ass, I will join staff.
If gamereplays.org would do some more advertising in the games itself I feel that more people will come to different sections.
Only for the people who don't know this site it is kinda hard to ever come here. What are the benefits if they come here and why should they stick time in creating a strong community...
I have been strategy specialist in Red Alert 3 section. The community is nice, but very small. Everyone knows eachother and from what I have seen they respect eachother now.
If we can create a nice community for HoN it should be able to run.

That is our idea, but it is very hard to compete with the official forums, since they have all the "official" announcements in there and with all the devs posting around the forums. Very hard to compete with that.
Back in the time ra3 was still popular they had a Nice cooperation with EA. And gr organised some conquercup tournaments. Isn't there any way to create such thing and learn from other sections? I know a couple of members on gr who would love to help to get this community back on it's feet and maybe we should try to get a Nice cooperation with s2 games. Since they are competing themselves with dota and stuff

You haven't been around the last 3 years? We organized more and bigger events, in cooperation with S2 Games, than RA3 or any C&C section ever organized. We had a pretty good relationship with S2, especially at the beginning, but then they changed their politics and now they are not interested in a success of their community sites. They now have their own tourneys HoN Tour, so they are not interested about other events, which is wrong.
