As you remember, GameReplays.org reported about the upcoming tournament sponsored by US Army and informed with help GGL (Global Gaming League). And today was launched The Army Gaming Championships website with ladders and tournaments for different games "for men": America's Army: Special Forces (Overmatch), Battlefield 2142, Call of Duty 2, Call of Duty 3, Command & Conquer 3 (PC), Command & Conquer 3 (Xbox360), Counter-Strike: Source, Gears of War, Halo 2, Resistance: Fall of Man, Tom Clancy's: Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, and Tom Clancy's: Rainbow Six Vegas.

The overall cash prize is 200,000 US dollars: about 10,000 US dollars for each game. But the registration only for United States person only.

Command & Conquer 3 (PC)
  1. The AGC Ladder Qualifier (starts 7/4/07 - unlimited signups)
  2. the AGC Bracket Qualifier (registration starts 7/13/07 - limited to 256 teams)
Two tournaments with $1,500 in cash and prizes, and both end 9/16/07. The top eight teams from each competition will meet at the Elite Forces Finals, where they can play for a prize purse of $5,000 in cash. Click here for more information. Also, check the rules and Cash Prizing system

Command & Conquer 3 (Xbox360)

Opened practice ladder which will be reseted on July 4th whenstarted the Tournament. Click here for more information

Incredible. I was all hyped up for this, and it's another US-only tournament. Geez. Looks like you guys are the only ones that matter.

JK. But why would they allow foreigners in a US Army tournament that is clearly another one of their crazy recruitment plans? But I'm not complaining. Free games and chances to win money don't hurt anyone.

Agreed, they can't recruit people outside of the US therefor they only include people that live in the US.

Adrenal: Well, it's our tax dollars paying for it.

I'm a little weirded out by the US military connection to video games. They use them deliberately as recruitment and propaganda tools. Dunno how I feel about that.
