Battle for Middle Earth 2

Hi there all

I wonder if anyone can help me with a technical issue. I've recently had to reinstall my OS (Win XP SP3), and ran a BfMEII re-install to be on the safe side. I've transferred all my save games from my old user account to the newly created one and can access them with the newly installed game.

The problem is with my custom heroes. I can play them in existing saved games but they don't appear in the selection menu for new games. The hero stat files ('7F78E858E9824895ADCF9C58' etc) have transferred and are readable. Can anyone help???

Did you save your faction progress from %AppData%? Even by doing that, I don't think it keeps your CAH (not entirely sure). You'll have to create them again.

Bane, is it possible to glitch the hero properties as well or just the powers?

Ah, great guys thanks very much. I'll try to remember the powers combinations as best I can- it was a while back.

Does the experience level come solely from that little text file then or will I have to build up from scratch?

You need to modify the ini.big of the game to glitch attributes. ( i know lots of guys who did this and no mismatch but im never gonna make it - glitching powers is fun but hacking attributes is pure lame!)

Do u have a version of this map that isnt bugged?
I have 2 versions and both stop after half of the map.

I have the map that only bugs sometimes in the dwarven castle with the dragon ...not always though. It is also only playable on the 1.06 version, not 1.8.

New gladiator map with custom heroes heavily modified will be available soon ( my map).
I will return here when it's ready. ( ty Archangel if ur gonna help me with the trailer)


And btw I do have the full version of the map legends ( all 3 parts in one map). Bloody hell, it took me 3 hours to win it with a mate and a random nub wich was always dying . And glitched powers work on it, just hacked attributes don't work. ( won map with non-glitched hero, to test my skill )
Never won it in singleplayer - you can't control more heroes at a time ( always using to die in the dragon's lair )
