Error message when downloading updates

Guys,
when i couldnt get online i deleted my game and reinstalled it.
Now,
when i redownload the updates for multiplayer gaming, i get to 42% of the updates and than i get an error message:

Invalid patch: RETAIL-(a couple of numbers)-RTP


Can someone help me please?

well i downloaded patches manually from the directions kami had given which r in one of the later forums...and they workked for me

if u dont want to bother doing it manually ...call microsoft and they will patch u up themselves but tell them the problem first so they know what u r talking about. They will get into ur comp and do it themselves. i would of called but it takes a while for them to do it.Sucks to be waiting on the phone so i went and did it myself with kamis directions which r pretty goood and easy to follow.

Man i downloaded the patches but it seems it is not working...
i still get retail patches...
i try to delete them...
and my update.exe wont start at all..!!

And when you contact microsoft it costs you 72 Euro's to solve the problem...
Rol new costs only 29.99 Euro's here...

Anyway ill try to reinstall it one more time..
and if it wont work...

Man it's impossible now..
i reinstalled it.. and it doesnt work.. i have the patches.. deleted the retail patches..
and still its not working

Well if u have the patches just install again the game copy all the patches and a file called patch control to the program files/microsoft games/rol and then click the file UPDATER and hf (but in case u do remember there r only NO players online).

When my installation was complete i got this message:

"The wizard was interrupted before rol could be completely installed/uninstalled."
