It looks like my pal markatlet has found a perfect counter for strafing run. ohmy.gif This is why I love the randomness of coh.

In the 4th picture, you can see the shell sailing clearly past the P47... I think something else was responsible for downing the plane, not the Hummel tongue.gif

The 4th picture lol. THE MAGIC BULLET! "Back, and to the left." "Back, and to the left." I dunno... shame it's an old replay and we can't look for ourselves.

Arty can definitely take down a P47 Thunderbolt. I was in a game once where a combined Howie/Offmap shot took down a plane. Awesome stuff, as it only added to the explosions of death that we were throwing at them.

In the first picture you can't help but imagine the paratrooper getting hit by the Hummel shot. Now that would be hilarious.

Cool that you did it with a hummel. You can actually take down a p47 using almost any arty. Sometimes, ill play a basic annihilation with my friend and instead of finishing it, one of us will just spam mortars/nwebels/stukas and we will coordinate it so it takes down the recon run plane the other will send. Really, any sort of artillery has the potential to hit the plane, it is just very unlikely in a real game.
