An interesting rumor has surfaced in the last few days involving Starcraft 2. After analyzing the various videos that have been released from Blizzard to the public, Keron Cyst from Heaven Games has posted some screen shots that have caused a great deal of speculation from Starcraft fans. As clearly seen in the pictures below, the logo of ID Software, responsible for the development of the popular FPS game Quake 4, can clearly be seen in front of what looks to be a Hydralisk-like creature that quickly fades into the background. As of yet no one knows what this could mean or how it will affect the finished product, but hopefully Blizzard will be more forthcoming in the near future as to ID Software's exact role in the creation of what is perhaps the most anticipated sequel in RTS history.

Cyst was prompted to check out the video in a movie editor when he began noticing a frantic blink that occurred between 0:02 and 0:12 that began to bother him. No other evidence of ID Soft's involvement in the games development has been mentioned or seen, but rest assured Starcraft players around the globe will be keeping their eyes peeled.

Along the same lines as the ID Software logo, in another movie if you go frame by frame you will find a picture of Dustin Browder, Lead Designer for Starcraft 2 as well as a shot of the whole development team at Blizzard. Be sure to keep an eye out for more of these shots in the future and be sure to come back to Gamereplays.org as your #1 source for news and updates on Starcraft 2!

I believe the ID Soft logo is in the cinematic trailer I'm not to sure on the developers picture. Keron would be able to clarify that for you I think.

Well I don't think a Corect Timing in a media player could catch it.

I used a movie editor program to play the thing 1 frame rate at a time.

Well It could be a possibility, But I mainly think they were just helping blizzard in making trailers. But I'm can't confirm that 100%. wink.gif

PS: don't need to post same message twice.

I'd like to point out that id Software is spelled with lowercase id. It is also pronounced id and not ai di as would be the case if it was spelled ID.

On the topic: I bet it is something very trivial. Probably the letters have nothing to do with id Software or they've just provided some tech for videos.
