Act of War: Direct Action

I've tried so many other RTS games, but in the end I keep thinking "AoW does it better".

AoW is a great game.

Hahah ofcourse AoW was greaet, just sux that there weren't a ton of differnet faces to play online. However, SupCom is fun and thats my new RTS game of the moment now. Only thing is there isn't the fast paced action of AoW in SupCom, because AoW moves at about 100mph and SupCom moves around 50.

Ya, I'm into supcomm too. But weird thing is AoW is more of in your face, personal battle. Each and every unit has a use, and whenever they get blown up you're like "CRAPP!"

In Supcomm, I don't really care as much as about my troops. They're not really that personal. The only unit I think is really cool is the mantis and the experiementals. They offer alot of options.

True, I haven't gotten to build anything higher than T1 in the lit tle bit I've played besides a T2 turret, T2 tanks, T2 arty and the T3 bot that is it . I did do transports and the T3 airplane bomber thing though. And tactical defnse. But yea in Aow, you have a chance to micro your units around and do more individual damage. In supcom, the units don't respond on the dime like in AoW, they gotta spend some time to shift gears and all.

One of the most underrated games ever. But AoW still had lots of bugs. But design wise AoW was excellent.

Same here guys. I miss a lot of AOW. I still play the game . I have not yet played High Treason. I got the game cant play due to HDD space. I have 40 GB. Dont have any more place to put anymore game and yea i have only one game installed so far .

I really wish Atari and Eugen will continue to create more AOW series and let people know. So far AOW is highly under rated game.

Tiger, I agree. Never had such a fun to play a RTS since AoW !
Even CnC3 suxx in my eyes, since it´s all about fast tank spam without any strategy. Most units there are of no purpose.

I miss those furious FFA games or the great 3on3 or 4on games with you pro guys.

I loved that stealthed akulas or that damned drones.....was a great time.

Yeah.... I do miss AoW very much, this was the only game in which that I (17) beated my brother (29) (and he's a pro when he has a mind to play) and the only game that is near to the balance life not like CnC: ZH, (infantry can beat tank and AT are like miniguns).

But I wish that there would be more players playing this game so that Atari & Eugen could release more patch to arrange some units and their atks like the turret of TFT, it would become more useful if it uses the 3 weapons at the same time like when your opponent decides to atk with helicopter and tanks or infantry.

The last time that I built this turret my brother came with Apache and started atk' my turrets (AA) then came with tanks 15secs later and destroyed my turrets without problems (my turret was fully upgraded) the minigun wasn't working and the AT wasn't working either anly the AA missiles. That sucks!

But I still miss this game but needs some arrangments.
