Idk anout the game itself being dead. Its just feels like gamereplays just kinda died and i dont even know why. Suddenly every game forum of gr lost its activity. Even the forum for LoL is quiet dead and its the most popular game atm.
GR is active in several C&C and BFME sections. SC2 just had terrible luck, with all of its staff leaving in a very short interval between each other
Trust me the bfme sections are all dead^^ Ive been there for a very long time but since the server shutdown their lost their activity. Nothing going on there anymore.
How so? RotWK recently got updated to v4.0, there's a grand tournament announcement of an announcement floating around, Val is sneakily posting BFME2 1.09 footage...
I think we lost much since Generals 2 got canceled. I mean, the owner of this site is a big fan of Command & Conquer. AND, all old C&C games just lost Gamespy, as many other games too on this site did I guess. EA actually caused much of this by not giving us other servers etc.
I would also say we're lacking of new great games which would be perfect for this website.

True, but GR is also one of the sources of the remaining activity in Zero Hour, Kane's Wrath, Red Alert 3 and the BFME series (patches for BFME2 and RotWK also originate from here). We are in a joint effort with Revora on C&C:Online, too. A much larger catastrophe was prevented with that server - otherwise, very few people would keep playing later C&C games online, and they'd be scattered among oh-so-many LAN emulators.

There were/are attempts to make new sections, but they mostly ended with zero interest (Novus Aeterno, Planetary Annihilation, AirMech...) Grey Goo is the only such section that might succeed. Eventually.

Okay.
I played Grey Goo in the alpha, just a little bit. I found it quite bad, but hopefully it's better now. However, I don't think it's a game which are going to help this site a lot though.
Why is there like no interest in the League of Legends page? I mean, that game is damn big. Gamereplays should start spreading the word etc again and work hard on games which many players plays.

The LoL staff currently counts only two members (Herz and Czone) and all the activity is at sites that are completely devoted to the game and are, as I hear, infinitely more advanced/organized/shiny.

They are, in the ways you want tips and builds etc.
With the second expansion pack, Legacy of the Void will enter closed beta phase at the end of this month. Hopefully this forum will start coming back again.
I dont think so. It just feels like competitive rts gaming is dying. There are no real rts games with a large community besides sc2 anymore and sc2 also lost so many players. Its pretty sad and i think it will stay like that for a while until ppl get bored from f2p mobas and all the other genres that are popular atm.
I guess Jim Raynor is MIA somewhere else.
And I'll bet SCII hasn't got much updates this year, except for the enhanced Starter Edition and the latest patches.
