Hello DoW DC forum smile.gif this is my first time posting here but im doing so because ive got a few questions i feel like asking and they are a little newbish, well here it goes :

first id been wondering, since ive seen quite a few replays downloaded from this website, and once in a while people have customized theyre banner ( the one your troops place to cap a point) how is this done and can it be done in single player mode?

second, and this is the really stupid one, frusty.gif i seem to have a problem with my troops always wanting to charge into melee combat even tho they are more effective at ranged, how do i counter this? i know theres diffrent stances but they just seem to do whatever they feel like no matter wich one i use 0wn3d.gif

well thanks for your time i appreciate anny answers bowdown.gif

Hi private joker!

Fist of all, welcome to the game's community!

Let's see some answers.

1. Yes, your squads can be customized. You should start reading this
the 6th paragraph will contain info on customizing your squads. And yes, if you change the looks of your squad, and use it, you can see the difference. No restrictions for single or multi game.

2. Units in DoW series have stances in the game... the stances are indicated by colored icons once you've chosen your unit. Yes, like the builder units icons.
There are engagement stances and weapon stances.

Engagement Stances like: hold ground, stand ground, burn down, cross fire, attack stances defines the aggressiveness of your units. (F1-F5)

Weapon Stance like: assault, range defines the melee/non-melee options. (F6-F7)

If you found the engagement (colored) stances, just have a look at right next to it... there will be the other stances indicated by a fist and a weapon i think.

So changing those, you can solve your problem, but keep in mind, that if your unit is cc-ed it will fight in melee, unless cross fire stance of a shooting squad, i believe. But try it, and you'll see.

If you have other questions, don't hesitate. It is free to ask, and free to answer as well thumb.gif
