Sup, i started playing france recently and have gotten quite good at abuseing them, so i thought i would share my current build order/strat with you guys happy.gif

(1st 4 cards should be 3 workers, 4 workers, 8 xbows and 3 hussars in that order.Then use what you want)And use your explorer lots for early game exp

im probably gonna explain the population side of this strat a bit retardedly so if you want more detail on that ill gladly go into it.

1.2 workers unpack crates (food first)other 4 hunt and build a house and a market too if u have enough wood

2.Spam villagers until you have 12 (all gatherring food)

3.Play your 2/3 villager card in the 1st age so as u advance you have either 14 workers (low hc france) or 15 workers (higher hc france)

4.As soon as you have 800 food advance (choose the 500 wood option) and as your advanceing split your workers 10 wood 5 food

5.Build a market and get the 1st wood upgrade (saw mills or gang saw, sommin like that)if you dont have it yet

6.As you reach the end of advanceing send 2 workers forward to your enemy and 2 to your town centre to collect the 500 wood.
When u advance que 3 or 4 workers, collect the 500 wood, play a 4 villagers card amd build 2 barracks with your forward workers (this is all easily afforded)

7.When the 500 wood is collected stick them back on wood and when the 2 barracks is build stick them back on wood.

8.Now your barracks is built, constantly spam Pikemen and X - Bows all the while pop spamming to allow them to carry on building

9.When your 4 workers shipment arrives stick them on wood and you have queued 4 more workers aswell, so stick 2 of them on food and the other 2 on wood. ( 16 vills on wood, 7 on food) u wont need anymore for a while.

-Keep an eye on your pop and you will want it to be around 80 accomodating your man spam as you are spamming

10.Now is just constant spam. At around 7 minuites 30 into the game i can have 20 X-Bows and around 10 - 15 pikes using this strat, it may not work so well for you or it may even work better. Attack with whatever you have and then ralley point your 2 barracks to your enemys base and carry on spamming (Killing men of course, but aim for his town centre and houses too).

11.Depending on how well yur rush went around 9 mins 30 (maybe before this time and hopefully will be) swith 12 of your workers from wood to 11 gold and 1 food. So now you have about :-
8 collecting food
11 collecting gold
5 collecting wood

Sell whatever wood you have for gold in your market and keep doing so when u have 100 wood. You may end up with like 1500 gold and 800 food, dont wait for another 400 food, sell 400 gold in your market to give you 1200 food and advance.

I'll leave the rest up to you guys what you do from Fortress as this was only a rush strat.

( just do the obvious things like spam more workers set them to gold and food and make skirms/curassiers/cannons, be it from cards or whatever.)

nice strat mine is..

This only works on Great Plains..
first let 3 unpack wood crates and build house then go hunt..
get first card = 3 settlers put them on woof you hsould keep getting CDB on food until you have 10 age to age 2 (The Quartermaster (500 Wood)) with 13 CDB
once age 2 first make 5 CDB put them on wood and use the card 4 CDB on coin put the thirst 3 free CDB on the crates of wood you got from aging. then put them on coin then get 1 lakota and 1 conmanche the use the Native Treaties card to get 4 Axe Riders 2 Dog Soldiers + 4 Conmanche. go raid them then go age 3 ASAP with the religious freedom card and make the 4 Nadiers for 500 food and the 8 for 1000 food + the 7 skirms from aging up to age 3 then get JEagers and attack one enemie..
this only works if your enemie doesnt rush or against n00bs biggrin.gif

then make 3 more CDB go age 4 if neccesairy and keep making houses CDB and get your economie fluently (only if rush doesnt work) biggrin.gif

well thats it i know its bad.. :'(

Cool strat, just wondering though, you said it's not gd against people which rush, I was just wondering what you would change against people which rush in the 2nd age, my mate does it every game, he builds a barracks ect on the out skirts of my base and rushes with strelets ( He plays russians ). Any ideas on how to counter attack his strat with some slight changes of your strat?

the native scout (and all natives) doesn't use population room.

if its 14/20 than you have 1 explorer and 13 villagers.

I worded it a bid badly, i meant you should have 14/15 villagers before you go to colonial, but 12 of them are made from the town centre and then the 2/3 are made from using the villager card on your 1st shipment.(2 if your below level 10 home city)

its a decent rush, simply because it is so simple, but due to its simplicity it only really workrs when you are able to pull it off extremely quickly.

Do you have a replay of this strat? It seems intresting but if your opponent is FF, good, he will beat you because age 3 units > age 2 units smile.gif

Wow, that sounds pretty good. One thing you should add though is since your opponent will likely do ff, HIT HIS HOUSES FIRST! You can't send any shipments without pop space, and that will greatly delay his mercs.
