Hi everyone, I can't see that this mod has been posted on this forum and thought I would tell you about it.
PeZBOT has been created and developed by Pezzalucifer and is now up to version 7.0.
This mod enables you to play Call of Duty 4 multiplayer either offline or on a LAN using computer controlled players (bots) as your team mates and opponents.
Version 7.0 (released 31/08/08) includes the following fixes and enhancements:
- When shooting through walls bots accuracy decreases rapidly over 5 seconds.
- Bots only engage at an appropriate range for the weapon they are using.
- Bots throw grenades again.
- Bots now crouch.
- Fixed weapons not being dropped correctly.
For full details of features and installation instructions please read the Readme.txt file included in the archive.
I still remember some CoD 1 bots who just stood at the spawn points and shot all the time.
The bots are extremely good and move around all stock maps using a waypoint system which has been coded so the bots do not move in a predictabe manner. They follow different paths and don't bunch together. They've also been coded to appear to have some element of intelligence.
Here are some of the features of the mod:
- Bots can call airstrike, and helicopter.
- Bots throw grenades.
- Bots put a higher priority on targeting the last player that killed them.
- Bots can play Team Deathmatch, Headquarters, S&D and Sabotage.
- Bots don't take the same shortest path to their destination, they flank from all directions.
- Bots are effected by flash and stun grenades appropriately.
- Bots cannot see through smoke.
- Waypoint support for patch 1.6 maps, Creek, Killhouse, Chinatown and Broadcast.
- Bots randomly pick from 15 different weapons when they spawn.
- Bots drop their weapons when they die.
There is so much more than what is listed above, so do try the mod and read the Readme.txt file.
This is one of the best bot mods I've had the pleasure of using. JamJam11

From what I saw, they pick the following: M16, AK-47, M4, G36c, G3, M14, MP44; Mini Uzi, Skorpion, AK-74u, P90; W1200 (I only tested shipment and creek though).
A few bugs you might want to fix... the bots are ALWAYS displayed as holding AKs, and in the killcam, the same thing happens. They're holding an AK-47, but when the fire, it turns to what they're really holding. You might also want to change their walling capability, they know where you are regardless of what you do. Maybe conduct a visual test? I also don't think any bots tried to knife me, even at very close range.
Otherwise, very well done, this is the best of its type from what I've seen.
Hi everyone, Please check out the Readme.txt file that is included with the mod. It answers most questions.
I need to make on thing clear. I personally haven't created this mod. All credit must go to Pezzalucifer a.k.a Pezz (his details, email address etc are in the Readme.txt file).
Pezz doesn't post in this forum. He posts in the official Infinity Ward forum, so please check there for answers to any questions if you can't find them in the Readme.txt file. I post there too.
I couldnt get more than 1 bot to appear on crossfire, and then on creek, none appeared when i put in the command (several times)
maybe ill try...again....
Blitzkrig, You can set up PeZBOT to launch with a set number of bots automatically added to the map using a dedicated Desktop Shortcut.
I posted some instructions on how to do this some time back. You can view them using the link below. Just select that link and scroll down the page to the last post:

I've never experienced this problem myself. When I use the mod the bots all visibly carry the appropriate weapon, whether firing or not, see screenshot examples below:
I am using CoD4 patched to v1.7 and also using the latest version of PeZBOT (v7.0). JamJam11
Hi, The bots in Single Player have been given some level of artificial intelligence through the programme code (they retreat and take cover etc) but this isn't really possible through general scripting which is what PeZBOT is made up of.
Therefore the answer is No, but they still work really well for Multiplayer. I'd recommend you try the mod then decide for yourself. I don't think you will be disappointed.
At the end of the day this mod was released (April 08) only six months after CoD4 was released, whereas is was a good two years or more before a 'good' bot mod appeared for CoD2 (by that I mean the Meatbot)!
Which zombie mod? I know of one and that uses PeZBOT for the zombies. The zombie mod creator got permission from Pezzalucifer (PeZBOT creator) to incorporate his mod.
I finally got round to trying this out, and I must say well done to whoever created it! The bots are pretty intelligent considering, although they can tend to clump together a lot sometimes. Also, at points they appear more intelligent that public players because if they get boxed in they do not start to camp but bust out in one rush together.

Great mod!
Hi Joshua^,
Have you patched your Call of Duty 4 to version 1.7? And are you using PeZBOT v7.0?
I only ask as most problems with the mod come from the user not having the most recent version of it, plus not having the game fully patched.
A guy called Perry Hart (aka Pezzalucifer) created the mod. He is a Games Programmer by profession.
Prior to the current version (v7.0) he has always released the source code for the mod so people can create their own waypoints for custom maps. I've asked him to do this for v7.0 and he has agreed to do so when he gets the chance.
I have made the shortcut to deal with loading pezbot and having more than 1 bot show up, and still, only 1 bot shows up. this is what I have in the 'target' box of the shortcut for cod4:
Still, they dont show up. I have tried setting the team to any (aka they join both teams), and have tried with only 2 bots, and have tried without the dogpack. Still I only get 1 bot.
