Supreme Commander beta seems to have a built in benchmark test that will give you an accurate score on your system's performance.

To run this test, do the following:

Create a shortcut to 'SupremeCommander.exe', it should be located in 'C:\Program Files\THQ\Gas Powered Games\Beta\Supreme Commander\bin\'. If its not then try to remember where you installed smilie_bleh.gif

Right click on the shortcut and in the target path (not 'start in') add '/map perftest' (PERF not PREF as I added my first time and wondered why it wasn't working, taught it meant preference test 0wn3d.gif )

It should look like this:
CODE
"C:\Program Files\THQ\Gas Powered Games\Beta\Supreme Commander\bin\SupremeCommander.exe"  /map perftest


Remember lower score means better score smile.gif
When posting your results remember to post your settings since a test run on high can get 105 supcommarks and on low it can get to 30 supcommarks. Post all your settings please!

Post your rig's specs too so we can compare (I'm really wondering how good is an AMD x2 vs a Cure duo in SupCom)

I have: Everything on high, but no AA.
1280x1024

105 SupComMarks

AMD x2 4600+ OCed to 5000+
2 Gigs of DRR Corsair CL2.5
2x 7900GTs in SLI (SLI off in SupCom cause it uses CPU cycles, I should have saved for a CoreDuo instead of a second card sad.gif )

I have 60.1 sup com marks. 1280x1024. Everything high, but shadows off. (that is huge performance gain)

opteron 170 @ 2.4 ghz, 1 gig ram, 7600GT

I stay on my default res which is 1024*768 @ 85 HZ ( default 17 " CRT)

Using game preset value

I have 67.7 in high detail preset
I have 59.8 in medium details preset

Core 2 duo E6400
Asus P5B
2 GB Corsair XMS
Sapphire x1950xt 256 mb
No OC

pretty neat demo tho, should have turn off fog of war hehe

nice program I got 69.7 on:

Everything on full and turned on

1680 x 1050
Dual Amd 4600+
2gig ram
7800GTX

But i am getting a new rig soon gunna switch to intel and get the quad core probably ( more money than sense! )

Something like 80.2 with everything on low @1280x1024
3800+ x2, 2gb 400mhz dualchannel, gf 7800gt

Might get more since I had high uptime and this windows is borked aswell..
But still, I should upgrade biggrin.gif

I got 123.6 with the following settings:

- Everything on high except shadows
- Dual head on (so 2x 1280x1024)

This is an E6400 with a Geforce 7950gx2, 2gb memory running xp
