Is the Quantum gate used in any games? What is it for?

Do you ever see Sub command units in FA?

And also what are the best upgrades for the ACU?

They are used a lot in SC games but not in FA, except maybe in large loooonng 4v4s.

Unless my memory is really failing me, Quantum Gates are used to make SCU's. SCU's aren't really used because generally the alternatives are better; RAS isn't as good as in vanilla, and SCU's are expensive, take a long time to build, and don't do that much damage. Quantum Gates don't actually teleport anything.

I don't know about the very best ACU upgrades for a longer game, but in 1v1 the most common are the engineering suites (to build PD's and for the health and regen bonus) and the gun upgrades that increase range and damage substantially.

I do recall a SC ranked game i had on sera glaciers when i sent 4 monkeys over to the enemy base. They came in a straight line and got butchered by 5-6 upgraded SCU's.
