Is anyone playing ra3 on W10 with high graphic settings ?
I've lately moved from W7 on W10 but kept the same hardware specs and RA3's jerking pretty much and look like slower since I'm playing on W10.
I did try to reinstall W10 2 or 3 times, same for ra3, cleaned up every folders, deleting and reinstalling AMD drivers + using a cleaning tool like billion times but always makes unsuccessful.
Anybody has any idea ? Please don't tell me to look at OS Update or GPU Drivers, I already did, and everything seems good at this point.
My specs :
MSI Gaming 5 Z97 I5 4670K 4 x 4 GB G Skill Ripjaws X CrossFire R9 290 Radeon Tri X OC SSD Samsung 850 Evo 500GB
I'm using Windows 10 on a laptop (with much worse specs than yours, I have i5 4210U, 4GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce 840M) and I can play RA3 with high quality...
Actually Win 10 sometimes will let games run on integrated graphics instead of dedicated one. Can you make sure (from your Graphics Control Panel) that your game is using dedicated graphics instead of integrated one?
Thing's that if I'm setting ra3 on low graphic settings, game's running pretty well, also even in high, game's not lagging, only screen jerking (water, structure, trees, etc.) and that make look like the game slower, but it's not lagging.
You're on NVIDIA, I would be curious to know if anybody else run ra3 with W10 and AMD in high graphic settings ?
BTW : My game's also keep crashing after every game, at the time I've been playing on W7, I fixed that with that pinned thread
But since I'm on W10 I can't find anymore my "red alert 3 profile" folder while I remember that I found it pretty easily on W7. So do you have any tips about that too ? ^^'

I am using a desktop with AMD Radeon HD7750 and Windows 10 insider preview. My Windows 10 has been updated from 10240 to 14332 automatically and AMD Graphics Driver are also updated from Catalyst Control Center 14.7(2014.11) to Crimison 16.3(2016.3). None of them have problems with RA3. my specs: Intel Core i5 4460 MSI B85M-E45 Team 4G*2+Kingston 4G*1 Yeston HD7750 1G Intel SSD 520 128G + Liteon SSD L9S 256G Compard with my spec, I suggest you could disable the crossfire for Ra3 in driver's control panel.

Actually I made that thread when I'm using Windows 10... Your profile folder is inside Application Data\Red Alert 3\Profiles You should be able to find your Application Data folder by typing %appdata% in Cortona (Windows Search Bar near Start Menu) and
Crossfire graphics cards have a common issue which is called, micro stuttering . This is a case where the game would still run on 30 FPS but it would still look laggy, and cause a few issues with the display.
Already tried that too, my CFX is off for ra3 but game still jerking the only way I've found for now is to play on low graphic settings. I'll not be able to use my comp until sunday and then I'll make some more other test.
The weird thing is that my game was running pretty well on W7 and W8.1 but since I've moved on W10 the jerk thing appeared so my first think was that's something related to W10 with AMD.
Next thing I'll try is to run some other games to see if that's specific to ra3 or also other games
I've been having a lot of problems with my Nvidia GTX 680. Super lag on all of my games. Restarting a few times fixes it, but IDK what the problem is (I've been assuming it's the driver itself). Also on Win 10.
Thanks guys I've finaly fixed my issu, I first tried to play some others games but I didn't notice anything wrong so i've removed one of the GPU and load ra3 and the jerk was gone, I've tried the other GPU that I've removed to be sure none of them was dead and ra3 still ran pretty well so I finaly put again the CFX and without doing anything else the jerk was gone.
