Hey guys!

Returning to the game after a long time, and only have the COF:OF original (2.0.0) disc.

I tell you what, if the Relic devs or CM's still visit this site: clean up your patches! Amalgamating the patching process would be fantastic! The in-game downloading service is quite slow for me (~150KB/s) and having to do it over and over again is definetly not encouraging to people looking to re-visit this great game.

At the moment I'm sequentially downloading patches from my ISP's gaming website, but even with maxed speeds it's a slow process becuase of the sheer amount of patches.

Maybe having an amalgamated patch from ~2.1.x / 2.2.x to ToV release would solve these problems, or even a community made .rar with all the patches would help.

Anyway just venting a random thought as I wait to play.

P.S. what's OP these days? PioSpam sitll (lol)?

I did play the game, yeah, but I doubt I'm "that guy". Care to elaborate?

You have to suck up the patching process once, but after that all of the patches will be in your patc folder in the my games library, so you can repatch from there after this one.
This game is still great so it's worth a day of downloading.

Piospam is OP, bot not the way it was when it first arrived (I don't know when did you see it last time). Against US it's weak. It's now OP against the brits.

With brits Kangoroo spam is OP these days, but only in 2v2s (and obviously you can only do it if you have Tales of Valor, what you apperently don't). Commandos are owned by vetted wehr grens big time.

With wehr multiple defensive medicbunker + vetted gren spam with for the fatherland is OP against US. (Generally medbunker is OP, but whatever).

US owns PE almost every time, so it's hard to judge what is OP in that matchup. PE players are complaining about the SIS strat (see on GR strategy section). Against wehr I don't know of an OP unit or strat at the moment.

With PE the general strat is g43 spam till ATHT. Although it has been fixed some patches before, G43 slow on retreating units is still OP, almost garanteed squad kill. They are generally UP this patch though.
