they're not putting medics into the actual signleplayer right?
They are putting medics into the actual single player, as with firebats and other old units. It is like wc3, everything they think don't fit multiplayer they can just cram into the singleplayer. What is hard is to make every feature as fun to use as it is to counter, while in singleplayer it just have ot be fun to use making them able to put just about anything into it.
Like in wc3 campaign they had a water based race, a race where every unit was invisible etc. They are just building on that concept.

Medics
I don't like all the multiple attack lasers and so on. Hope they keep that to a minimal in the multiplayer version, otherwise it looks cool.
That was just an event, not real combat. You will not have a ship like that.

IT's not just the BC in there. It has a special ability in mp with multiple attacks and collusus have. Some stone thingys attacked the mnm with multiple lasers. I understanmd it looks good I*m just saying I hope they keep it ot a minimal.
Amazing detail, looks like the specs are higher than Red Alert 3 I assume? Now It'd be nice if we got a minor teaser about details regarding the plot of Heart of the Swarm.

I doubt the specs will be higher. Blizzard never outdo themselves in that regard. As for Heart of the Swarm, I wouldn't get my hopes high as I imagine that they haven't even started fleshing out the plot.
And now on to the video:
1. Glad to see that Jimmy's dropped the redneck accent. 2. Medics don't seem all that great anymore. 3. Terrain mechanics are looking good. I liked that lava surge. 4. Graphics are incredibly smooth. 5. The "Hyperion" bombarding the Zerg got me kickin'.
This was an excellent impression. I'm happy to see that they're not overlooking the singleplayer aspect solely in favor of MP development.
i was thinking about the terrain effects... It was an idea that really wasnt possible on the old starcraft engine...
But do you think we would be seeing certain things like that lava map in MP. would make for some interesting confrontations, (assuming its on a known timer and not random of course) and the lava doesnt cover the entire map, but just enough to make the map unique...

Looks really good! Looks like a lot of fun; this will probably be the most fun in a single player RTS that's out there!
I wonder if that feature where the Battle cruiser was able to fire it's secondary mode while moving will be in Multiplayer? There was a clicking trick you could do to make Carriers fire while moving (or rather have their interceptors maintain combat while retreating to advancing) in Starcraft 1. I wonder what attributes in flying units or units with a turret (like an un-deployed Siege Tank) will have while moving in that if they can fire or not. That would really change stuff.
My guess is they cannot fire while moving else we would have heard about it and it would really change the meta.
Edit:
-I wish the target of what marines were firing upon was more visible; needs more bullet effects. -I wasn't too keen on the voice overs overall. There didn't seem to be a lot of intensity in their voices or excitement, despite the dire situations the characters were in. -One of the objectives was: "Kill the Brutalisk."

I was talking to someone at Blizzcon who was considering making a map with a low, direct path, that is covered with lava at regular intervals, and indirect paths around it above the lava. This could be used to allow fast units to escape, and slower unit following them would die if their controller is not paying attention.
