I'm really not joking about this. There are multiple ways to market or present your info to viewers. It's the effectiveness of "selling" a tip that matters most. What do you remember more easily, a text wall or a tip alongside an enjoyable joke? I'd say the latter. I certainly will not write a text wall about a single stance if I can convey a to-the-point message instead.
Have you ever heard of satire? While this not satirical, it's another element of writing that is quite unique, as is Smoke's article.
