Everyone, we have had good turnouts for most of the 2v2 tournaments and the 1v1 tournament I hosted, but I am not opposed to getting a bit more exotic with the formats. I have a few ideas for tournys, such as a Noob Tournament and 2v2v2 tournaments. I've also considered having random draw 2v2 tournys where you just sign up and your partner is assigned at random the day of the tourny. I know this doesn't allow for the greatest teamwork (if you haven't ever played together), but I think it would be fun to play with a m8 you might not be familiar with. I would like some member feedback on what you like/dislilke about the GR tournys.

I would also like to hear any suggestions on what kind of tournys you guys would like to play in, afterall these are YOUR tournaments.

Please leave any kind of tournament related comments and all ideas will be considered. I'm not opposed to working hard to give everyone exactly what they want.

Thanks!! thumb.gif

I wish I could participate more. Sundays are tough for me, but they're probably the best day overall.

Ok so not too much feeback yet, but Flo, you like the random partners thing? I just thought maybe some uberpros would get mad they are playing with someone not up to their standard.

go get what u need to play and than come and play.

Btw how u been?

fateat dont worry you are doing great, tbh the only thing u need next time is sleep, so u dont leave near the end of the tourrny. But lots of people are competing when u host and they are going smoothly.

I've been great haha, just the ol' school and work! CCG is looking pretty fun. I might have to bust a mission and find a good torrent on it haha.

I like the idea of random partners. just as long as they are selected a little while before the tourny begins, so they can talk strats or something

No, imo the teams should be selected when the tourny starts.

Bump.

Also, I noticed the tourny site will randomize teams for me!! This would have to be done very shortly before the tournament. The feedback on the random partners 2v2 seems to be strong, so I am going to go for that one in a couple weeks. I will post it early so we can get maximum participation. After that, I'm going to attempt a 2v2v2 and an FFA tournament. I think I will keep these down to 6 players (sorry 2v2v2v2 guys) to avoid connection problems as much as possible.

I am going to officially start marketing and get feedback on a noob tournament. Here is the link, if anyone has ideas. Noob Tournament!

imo randomized teams are really the best way to show how pro players are.

First, they have to play with someone they have never played with before and cooperate.

Plus, they have to cope with what the other players needs and does in the game.

Imo the best players of CCG will be found in randomizing games and i think it is a fun and interesting way to do a tournemnt.

I also have a suggestion that i came up with when i was typing this.

Why not have a 2v2 tournament with one pro and one noob on each team. The pro would have to teach the noob during the game and it would be very interesting. The only thing is that this goes back to our "new player tourny topic". How would you disinguish between noob and pro?
