Hello everyone, I'd like to officially start planning a noob tournament. I have created this topic to gauge interest on this tournament. This would be open to all "new players" (Meth ) and mod players who would like to try their hand at officials without running into uberpros (like Gav73). So anyone who is not an experienced official player, please post your interest here.
Other members of the community, I am having a hard time trying to decide if the player is too good to be in this tournament. I could really use feedback on a fair way to decide who can play, and who can't. Also if any of you guys want to put in a small bit of effort, I would like to get the word out about this tournament to new players via the CCG lobby, so please if you find someone that might be interested, direct them to the GR site, and this topic in general.
Thanks for all your help!

Do ppl who lose a GvC against fateat qualify for this tourney, too?
I'm not sure why undercover pros would sign up just to bash new players, but I was thinking of having interested players post replays for my review. I guess with this method the judgement of who can play, and who can't would be up to me. But I don't really like this possibility, I was hoping someone else might have a better idea.
Fat man, are u trying to raise activity or just desparate? I know a handful of 'newbs' who are new to td, but what is the point of getting these guys to participate in a tournament?
[GxA] clan (hackers) snipershotkill sledneck (has aceton) legion (hacker) [wwk] deadline [wwk] vegeta DSparks (has aceton) Caspers007 there are quite a few random lobby guys with less than 20 wins on their accounts that switch accounts constantly so i don't know who they are, could be anyone. If you are looking for lowest of the low then just sit in the lobby for a whole day and invite everyone that makes a td game.
I will be interseted in joining this tourney fateat sign me up , also i will get nooby players to join here too , and also i have an idea on how you can get players, that you know are noobs: ask players from here at gr who have mentors they should be nooby enough i think??

Thanks for you input. I think some of the guys you mentioned might work, others might be a little too good.
I am not getting desperate at all, I noticed not many new members participate in tournaments, most of the players in the tournaments are at a high skill level. The point of getting these newer guys a tournament to play in, is so they can participate in a tournament that is more on their level!! Additionally it will definitely make them better players, and maybe get some mod guys to play official every now and again. So basically, I can provide a tournament to members who might not otherwise participate, get new players to progress and develop faster. Not to mention it will be fun!! We can help them get aceton and a few other things they will need, and presto they have the tools to play cw!! This all leads to more activity on CCG and a better crop of players to play against. There is really no downfall to this tournament at all in my mind.
Sounds like there is some interest here. Russty and Caspers get some of your buddies to sign up for GR and post their interest here. Once I get enough newer players to show interest, I will officially make the apply for tournament here topic, this is where you would submit a replay.

Caspers I have a mentor on here, so this idea doesn't really work. A lot of the mentees are already cw level players.

Ask Subzero, He s an old mate of mine and has a GR account here. He''ll compete. There are enough ''noobie'' players HaTeR, u should just know where to look for them. Btw why aren't u competing?
