I was wondering what you guys main and what reasons you have to do so. Least season I mained jinx, where I was clearly better her than any other adc by a landslide. (Champ>Role).
I mained her because well obviously her playstyle was appealing to me, she could harass far distances, great all in potential with her passive, decent amount of cc and great amounts of damage regardless of the gun mode. The most appealing thing to me was her global ult, things like that are just fun to use, really gives the "wow" factor in games i think. I do also think however her ult is unreliable in most cases...
She was also really fun to play as when she got fed you could 1v5 the enemy team if you positioned yourself well (and bought a qss if needed). Really thrilling being able to single handedly destroy the enemy team with good positioning (red buff also really important for doing something like this) and aid from her passive. However I realised her laning phase is very weak compared to other adc's and is very vulnerable to ganks (especially j4, vi or panth) and that she needs a decent support to aid her early/mid game.
I main support these days (morgana) because I feel like she can spoonfeed kills and win lanes for even the worst of adc players. Her kit is very strong for any stages of the game (only mid/late game when she has zhonyas) and her spell sheild is beyond op as it is. With exhaust ult and Q up its a guaranteed kill once you hit level 6, and well yeah it's just easier to climb the ladder. A supp main took my supp position today so I played adc, and I was able to practically solo penta them which made me miss being able to make those plays and claim the glory for it as supports are very very underappreciated so I may just go back to jinx once I hit master again.
At the moment, I don't really main anything. For the most part, I've been filling and doing any role. My champion pools are a bit lower for support and jungle than other roles though, so I've been playing more Janna and Nunu than other champs, which I guess makes them my mains.
Early through mid last season, I was a big time Lulu mainer though. At one point, I played at least 80 out of 100 games as Lulu. I was literally just locking in Lulu and saying "any lane" in the chat. I probably played her about evenly between mid, top, and support too. xD
I think part of my problem why I haven't gained mmr very fast is because I try to have too big of a champion pool. I was actually going up pretty fast back when I spammed lulu games. When I'm cycling between about 25 different champions, I can be really consistent, but I don't get really freakin good at any of them, so it's harder to really carry games.

But why pick lulu? and is that nunu anywhere as well or just supp?
I main support as well, as I find it to be the most fun based on my style of play. I find the act of "cs'ing" to be a bit tedious and would rather focus my attention on the enemy team and map rather than last hitting. And being an RTS player by heart, it pains me to have "shrouded" areas. Wards4Days.
As far as champions...Alistar/Thresh/Braum/Janna/Nami, hell...all supports really (except for Soraka, because she's just too easy). I also <3 Godnekton top lane.
Haven't ever really enjoyed playing Lulu all that much, but she is a pain in the ass to play against if someone knows what they are doing with her.
Jarvan is just so versatile, you can build him a glass cannon and he'd still be viable, you can tailor him for any team comp, plus his mobility is pretty sexy too. Vi has high dmg, decent cc, mobile, and tanks very well, need I say more?
As for lee, since j4 and vi are banned almost every game I chose him to play, normally I'd go hec/naut but they dont feel that effective this season.
Swain is very effective against the current nid and ahri fetish that seems to be going on, and he can hold his own against most others, however his farming capabilities are not the best, so I usually pick him to counter someone.
Malz is my personal ace in the hole, you can't really shut him down, if I feel like the enemy is getting ahead I switch to damage control build (or if im against a burst champ) and shit on them. Stays very relevant all game and his TF control is pretty amazing too.
While her kit seems pretty straight forward, Soraka's not that easy. At least not as easy as she used to be. Positioning is so crucial on her and consistently hitting Q's while healing your team.

Positioning is crucial, but it's also one of her strongest points due to her passive. You can easily stay way back in a team fight and still hit Q's & E's while healing your team with your W and just simply back off if anyone starts to aggro to you. The +70% movement speed with her passive allows her to back off and then go right back in incredibly quickly to heal for massive amounts. That, and her ultimate is game changing when used in a timely manner.
It's not that she doesn't require some form of a brain to play, but rather she doesn't require almost any mechanical skill nor exposed positioning to have a huge impact in fights.
But why pick lulu? and is that nunu anywhere as well or just supp?
And Tsar why those champs in particular?
There were several reasons I chose Lulu I guess. One is that she could be played anywhere, so I didn't have to get my role in order to play her. A second reason is because I liked spamming her taunt, joke, and laugh (that "Hey, you! Lets dance." is just too good). Another is that I prefer playing high utility champs, as I feel like I'm useful pretty much no matter how the game is going. Part of the reason I play Nunu now is that he has a ton of utility too.
And I only play Nunu as jungle, with the occasional top AP Nunu game, but I feel like such a troll when I do that lol. My support play is mostly Janna, Morgana, and Sona atm.
hmm interesting replies I do feel like soraka is broken, she only really fails vs leona / morgana (with ignite).
In a all-in 2v2 matchup in the bot lane, both having exhaust up clearly gives soraka a massive advantage, her heals are ridiculously strong. I think soraka is an easy champ mainly to the fact you can play super safe and still be useful, especially early/mid game.

Still waiting for them j4 nerfs
Heh. I love picking Alistar or Thresh into j4 because their peel is just too strong. Knocking him out of his ult with headbutt or pulling my adc out with lantern makes me laugh every time. I'm always tempted to say "nope.avi" in chat each time.

lel that's so true. Love having an ali support vs jarven especially when playing Jinx. Denied hard
I absolutely love to support. In ranked I favour Braum for his aggressive crowd control & life saving utility, I enjoy Nami not only because she is rewarding but her abilities can cause so much disruption, and I sometimes play as Shen support too. My absolute favourite champions are Karma and Alistar, but I do struggle with them in ranked.

Braum's awesome atm Nami is really nice too, such a lane bully
As long as you love playing those champs you'll eventually get really good with them due to wanting to play them that's usually what happens with me anyway

Agreed, I play them that much that whenever I face against a different champion I'm learning. My probably at the moment is Gold II. Many of times I can support great teams, and at other times it's a complete terror. How about you?

Well ever since I switched to a morg main i've been having up and down games. Somes i'll go flawless then other games i'll struggle to land a bind. I just played with 5 challengers in a game today (still climbing back up) so I thought i'd struggle hard. But I did some really epic binds that actually won us the game. I really wish someone had saved this on op.gg or LoLReplay didn't crash my LoL so that I could show you guys an epic comeback high elo match.
When I don't feel comfortable with a champ though I usually have to constantly get dominating scores in normal matches for me to feel comfortable in using them in ranked (atm i'm doing this with kalista).
Here's my recent history where I do pretty well then have an absolute shit game sometimes
Zed's easy, I've yet to fully understand how Azir functions although playing against him doesn't trouble me. It's the execution of his combo that bothers me but mid is my least preferred role anyway.

So tell me! Who and why did you choose you main (if you main a certain champ)?
