Heyhey,
just tried launching the worldbuilder tool, but I got some weird error: "did you remember to build data?" and a bunch of other errors I cant remember from the top of my head. Is that a common error? How do I fix it?

I installed in my Red Alert 3 data folder. Inside your Red Alert 3 folder , there is a data folder. Try installing the WB there and see if it works.

Ok then , try moving all the installation files and the WB to the data folder.

Disable the User Account Control in the Control Panel. Then check if it will run.

Also, are you using the standard Worldbuilder or the SDK one?

Get the SDK version (I know, it's a "bit" bigger), see if this repeats. http://www.cnclabs.com/downloads/details.aspx?id=1514

You can, but you don't need to. I have both installed at the same time and both work for me.

was thinking about getting into building completly new maps or slightly change already existing maps. I just saw a KW tournament and I gotta say.....new maps are making the game really really exiting.

We added all the uprising maps in 1.12.4 and 1.12.5 , but no one is taking interest in them unfortunately (despite the fact that many people asked for new maps) , maybe you can make something happen , good luck smile.gif

will take quite some time, since I am new to mapbuilding. EA had this 100 page long readme file attached to it, so I better get out my reading glasses.

I already have some ideas for maps! so thats the hardest part done, I think.

You can also look at Zypherbullet's guide. Sure, some things are specific to TW and KW (e.g. Tiberium fields instead of ore nodes), but the basics are virtually the same.
