In order to play video games on a computer, one would need a device called a video card. This particular device was purchased by me on Wednesday, August 13th, and paid the extra for express shipping, which would take 1-2 business days. The video card was dropped off at UPS Thursday morning, took two hours to scan and was boarded onto a plane straight to Winnipeg. The arrival scan was 12:56 AM Friday, August 15th. I live two hours away from Winnipeg, SO WHY THE FUCK ISN'T IT IN MY COMPUTER BY NOW?!
It could've been here Friday, but who wants to work on Friday?
It could've been here Monday, but Monday is gay to have to work.
It certainly could've been here by Tuesday, this one simply baffles me. And worse of all I missed the deadline for the mail-in rebate!
It most definitely could've been here today, BUT THE FUCKERS MISSED THROWING THE PACKAGE ON THE PLANE GOING TO BRANDON!
If its not here tomorrow, I am going to walk to the UPS place, find who ever's in charge, give them a well deserved falcon punch to the jaw, make them swallow their own teeth, and proceed to shove every single piece of Warhammer I own up their fucking ass, including the Bloodthirster!
There's one word to describe this situation, and that's FAIL.

Lol Merc . Don't be too down I had it happen with my graphics card the other week .
On the other hand my geforce 8800 GT 512 Mb card did make it!
You have one of the best price/performance cards ever created. The HD4850 is also a very strong contender for the title but it has too much competition.
btw, if I get a kickass video card, is it possible that my machine wouldn't be able to handle it, or are my other computer capabilites irrelevant to what card I could have?
The GeForce FX 5500 is the exact card I have in my new computer. I only use it to run the monitor and it does a poor job of that.
And yes it does matter what kind of computer you have. Older parts can seriously bottleneck new video cards, and vice-versa. This 5500 is severely bottlenecking my 4GB of RAM and 3.6GHz dual-core processor.
Also, you have to know what bus type you have in your computer. A 5500 runs off of a PCI bus so that may be all you have. I suggest just buying a new computer if you can. It doesn't have to be extravagent, mine cost around $1200. You can get them a lot cheaper, just look at the PC building guides from Species.
Case, Xion Solaris Power Supply, Included, 450W Motherboard, ECS 780G Processor, AMD Athlon X2 4600+ Memory, 2x2GB DDR2-800Mhz Graphics, Zotac Geforce 9600GT Harddrive, Western Digital 250GB Optical, Samsung DVD-RW SATA Lightscribe
$465.94
You'll still need a monitor and an OS, but for under $500 this is a steal of a deal. 4GB of RAM and a 9600GT will provide much better performance than an FX5500.
An 8600 is exactly what I have in the old computer.
And I'd love to play Warhammer, but there isn't enough interest around here. If I lived in a bigger town I could go to gaming halls for some good times.
The first thing in my sig is the motherboard, followed by the processor, power supply, computer case, RAM, harddrive and video card.
