Gyllenhaal is a solid actor. Loved him in Prisoners and Source Code. Didn't think much of him in Prince of Persia but he didn't have a whole lot to work with anyway.

Transformers Age of Extinction, seriously wtf. It was just beyond ridiculous, Bay just needs to stop. I've seen enough explosions for a life time.

Fitting video

Saw The Equalizer during Sneak Preview. That movie is absolutely fantastic. I was a little worried that the trailer made it seem better than it should, but it truly is a great action movie. Denzel Washington is a boss, the antagonist did a very good job, decent enough story and excellent action scenes.

One of my favorite movies this year. I highly recommend it.

I watched Red Cliff again, this time the chinese version that's over 4 hours long.

I didn't enjoy it the first time around (where I watched the western version that is just over 2 hours) but this time it really worked for me. I think it was due to a mixture of different expectations as well as seeing the movie in it's "true" form. There are like 6 major characters in it and the extra time really helped in fleshing them out. Also the movie is beautiful with great action scenes and directing. It dragged a bit towards the end (the last fight was way to long and repetitive) but it was still quite the ride. Would easily give it 4 out of 5.

You should watch Donnie Darko then, if you haven't already. He was spectacular there. Also one of the best/smartest movies I've had the pleasure to watch.
