The arsenal is often forgotten, it has some great upgrades and some ok ones.
Infantry Breastplate - This gives 10% extra hp to all archer and hand infantry units such as pikes, crossbows, longbows and rodeleros, this is an ok but not critical upgrade.
Socket Bayonet - Increases hand attack of musketeers/janissaries/highlanders/grenadiers with 20% and increases their multiplier vs cavalry with 1. This is a great upgrade and almost double musketeers' attack vs cavalry, it's a must if you're building musketeers to counter cuirassiers or lancers.
Counter Infantry Rifling - Skirmishers, strelets, cassadores, abus guns and other light infantry armed with rifles get an increase of 1 in their multiplier vs heavy infantry, this is great for skirmishers and the like of course but it's paticulary strong for abus guns making them able to kill muskets in 2 hits instead of 4.
Cavalry Cuircass - This gives 10% extra hp to all melee cavalry such as hussars, lancers and cuirassiers, this is an ok but not critical upgrade.
Ranged Cavalry Caracole - This is my personal favourite arsenal upgrade and one of the most overlooked, it increased all ranged cavalry's range with 2 and give them 10% more attack. It used to be bugged but it was fixed in a patch long ago.
Gunner's Quadrant - Always get this upgrade if you have any artillery at all, it increases their line of sight with 6 meaning you spot enemy artillery before they see you giving you a great advantage it also only costs 100 food and wood.
Heated Shot - This increases outposts and artillery's damage vs ships with 50% it's a good upgrade if you have a lot of outposts securing water control, it also only cost 150 food and wood.
Abus guns are light infantry, they're not artillery. Lancers get a bonus vs them, culverins do not. They are however "siegetroopers" meaning minutemen/oprichniks get a bonus vs them.
Other siege troopers include oprichniks, grenadiers, mayan spearmen and Iroquis mantlets, no other land units are siegetroopers not even falconets they are artillery though:p
P.S. Yes oprichniks deal bonus damage to other oprichniks:)
