Grabbed this from the official forums, by a GPG engineer. Really good stuff, should probably be pinned. There are plenty of tricks to the advanced queueing and ferry (automatic transport) systems, I'll get into details on those later.

QUOTE
A few additional keyboard/mouse commands for ya:

In the GPGNet chat window, the Page Up and Page Down keys can scroll through the chat text.

- Alt-Middle-Mouse-Button - the wheel usually can act as a button if you click on it. Hold it - and the ALT key - down and move the mouse and you can change the angle of the camera. Don't forget that 'V' will reset the camera.
NOTE: This ONLY works if you aren't zoomed out.

Clarify: Alt-UpArrow and Alt-DownArrow moves the HUD. They both do the same thing, just scroll through the various options in opposite directions.

- O (that's "Oh") is the Overcharge Shot, special option for the commander.

Factories:
- Left-click on a queued build icon to tell the factory to make 1 more of that unit
- Right-click on a queued build icon to tell the factory to make 1 less of that unit (removes unit from queue when count reaches 0)
- Shift-click on a build icon to tell the factory to make 5 more of that unit
- Alt-click on a build icon to tell the factory to make 500 more of that unit

Double-clicking on any Mass Fabricator WHEN IN STRATEGIC VIEW (only) will pause all Mass Fabricators.

Clarification:
Ctrl-[num] (where [num] is 0-9) will make group [num] from whatever units are currently selected.

Quick way to get to official forums - Click on Help in the GPGNet startup screen, then on Visit Beta Forums.

Quick way to get to the bug database - Click on Help in the GPGNet startup screen, then on Report A Bug.

You Host or Join a game by selecting the Game label at the top of the GPGNet startup screen.

You can't drag & select text to copy, in the online chat window (or private messaging). But if you click on a sentence it will be highlighted and can use Ctrl-C to copy it to the clipboard.

Have you noticed the Supreme Commander and engineer thumbnails on the right side?
- Right-click on the commander to jump right to him.
- Right click on the engineers thumbnail to jump to the next engineer in the list.

Double-click on a unit to select all units of the same type in the current view window.

If you click on the +- large production digits on the top center, it'll change to percentages

Press the F2 key and you'll get a % indicator as to your overall income vs use. Try to keep that at over 50%.

The Economic Overlay button (lower left HUD), toggles displays that show you how mass/energy each item on-screen uses/generates

Open the Diplomacy screen during a team game to set things like Share Resources. Shortcut for the Diplomacy screen is Ctrl-Shift-F4.

In addition to the cursor keys, you can also pan the camera by holding down the middle mouse button (the mouse wheel) and moving the mouse.

To see in-game ping, press F11 (0 is a very bad number : ()

If you give a factory an order (Attack, Guard, etc), all units generated by the factory will automatically have that order assigned when they exit the factory

Same goes with Groups - assign a factory to a group and all created units will automatically be in that group too.

Quick note.
When rotating the HUD around the screen, if you have it "classic" TA style on the left, the commander upgrade functions lose their description box (among other little glitches).

No

If your units use attack move they stop when they aquire a target and shoot at it. And when the target is dead or out of range they continue moving again.

Regular Move they keep going regardless of what targets they run across.

Morning,

I've looked through this thread and others but how do you clear all build orders in the queue? Aside from issuing a stop order to each engineer...sorry if this is a dumb question but I just want to find the fastest way to do this.

Thanks in advance.
