World Domination v2 -[Download]-

IPB Image

1. Description

This is the first completely new 80km*80km SupCom map ever released! Fight for world domination on a giant (mostly lifelike) map of the earth!
No Mass Fabricators and no Resource Allocation are allowed on this map. You'll have to fight for your resources!
The new map will appear as "World Domination" in your maplist.

2. Installation

Extract the "SCMP_haz09" folder and all contained files from this archive to your "Supreme Commander\maps" folder.

3. Deinstallation

Just delete the folder "SCMP_haz09" located in your "Supreme Commander\maps" folder.

4. Changelog

Version 2:
- Made it patch compatible
- Made it GPGNet MapVault compatible
- Added No-Rush Zones
- Removed the build restrictions again
- Other minor changes

Version 1.2:
- Relocated some start positions
- Added and relocated mass points
- Improved AI support
- Flattened the land a bit to increase playability
- Banned Mass Fabricators and Resource Allocation
- Added snow textures

Version 1.1:
- Not packed up as an SCD. SupCom obviously can't
load that large maps from an SCD currently.

Version 1.0:
- First release

WOW, this may not be a perfectly balanced 'pro' map but the sheer detail of the heightmap and textures is awesome, and think about it, no dev tools!

BTW anyone here ever play defcon? biggrin.gif

(defcon with supcom nuke effects = WIN) someone just has too make a nuke warfare mod after SupCom releases cool2.gif

Well, a pity i can not select the map, when i do i get an error.

I try to select another map > supcom shows the list of maps, when i 'walk' (or click) to the World domination map supcom stops reacting, ALT-Tab shows an error screen.

Pity not sure it is the map or my computer + supcom combination

Nice. Mass point distribution seems to be a bit weird though. The map being so big (according the small commi icon) and so few masspoints ?

At any rate.

Damn, SupCom seems to have a problem with that large maps packed up in an SCD. I'm currently uploading an unpacked version. You are able to unpack the scd file with you favourite ZIP program to your SupCom directory to be able to play it without this bug.

[EDIT] The new version is up now! You should delete the corrupted SCD from your Supcom\gamedata folder.

mass points are always displayed at a fixed size, that why they look so big in the zoomed-out view. additionally they look less since points next to each other look like one bigger. however, the mass points are more widespread than in other maps, but i don't wanted to spam the whole map with mass points.

[EDIT2] Notice: Since it isn't packed in an SCD anymore, the installed map will be 100MB in size!

Looks great HazardX but in the interest of the size and the fact I doubt my PC will handle enough players on it well enough to truely play the map for what it is I'm not going to download it. Keep up the exceptional work though

Great work! I've downloaded and sandboxed a game in it. It takes a scout a bit long than 5 mins to get to the other side of the map (vertically). I'm wondering if even bigger maps would be possible. tongue.gif

Great work!

Played a 4 player game on it today, and it was pretty insane. Its good that there are so few mass points. Even with this few, you reach insane resource numbers, especially with the SCU's the way they are. Anyway, very well done!

Fantastic map. Now gimme the editor tongue.gif

Do you know if both players have to have the map to play or just the host?

My instincts tell me no but maybe it will auto download smile.gif
