This is an updated version of Duclair BT, which contains necessary minor changes to ballance with the new fractions. It also contains some new features that came with Opposing Fronts, like weather changing during the game etc. I hope you like it =)
Resource Notes: This map has the perfect balance of resources, it has just enough munitions to let axis tier 2 get into the fight and have a good time blowing up the motor pool units. Also the two fuel points give this small map the fuel players need to tech up at a good speed to tanks. This is perhaps the most balanced map resources wise I have seen yet!
Technicality:
The technicality of this map is near perfect with no install problems at all, in fact with 1.6 it is now super easy to install and play! There is a loading, save, and record picture along with drawn out of bounds zones. The loading picture looks a lot like relic made it themselves, it fits in nicely with the other maps. Also the out of bounds are spectacular, they make it feel like a real world map with intensive varying detail.
Overall: 10/10
Balance:
This map seems to favor each faction in parts but because of the way these parts are brought together there is a near perfect balance as far as I can tell. Sometimes the axis with there MGs might have an easier time securing the north and south points but because of the openness, riflemen have an opportunity to slip through the cracks and take territory behind them making the MGs useless. This map really has been made to give each side an equal chance and a unique playing experience each and every time. Also the resources give enough munitions that axis can be happy in tier 2 while also providing just enough fuel so each team can tech up while fighting for VP control. Most of the small maps I have seen in the past seem to end up being a giant fight in the middle for control over the map but the way the bases are set up in the corners with high fuel points both at the top and bottom successfully draw some troops from the middle to make for a more balanced fight across the map. There is almost nothing I could find (and I spent a lot of time looking for some things) that makes this map favored for one side, there will always be a few minor things, like some cover that favors left or right but when its all put together this is a very well constructed and thought out map. The only thing that might make this map unbalanced a slight bit is how the right side has a slightly easier time defending the middle area because of the hedges on the left of the logs and then the field to the left. Overall: 9/10
Design:
The design of this map is incredible! I really like how well the map is varied while still maintaining the core sense of a rural area. The map is able to incorporate a good number of building which only cover a limited portion of the map with holes in the defenses to allow troops to slip through most easily defended points. Perhaps the best part of the map is the vibrant cover. The cover is so diverse and the map has so many different types used uniquely in all sorts of positions just blanketing the map. Again, putting the top and bottom with buildings and then leaving the middle more open makes the map very easy to figure out and then provides an nice challenge to play. Also the roads are placed so they look very random yet they add a nice addition to the rural setting in order to vary from the woods setting. The only negative thing I can say about the design is that in the west it is heavy woods (look at the out of bounds) and then in the east there is a small town with lots of buildings. That can detract a little bit from the lifelike feel but again just a tiny bit.
Overall: 9/10
Fun Factor:
Saying that this map is a lot of fun is an understatement. This map is the most fun I have had in a long time. This small map provides the perfect battleground for constant on the move fighting, lots of strategic planning, and an incredible experience. The incredibly varied cover makes the map ideal for tier 1 and 2 infantry to fight on and then once the vehicles rollout it just gets better. The roads provide great access from the bases for vehicles to help their team in the fronts lines. One of the most fun aspects of the map is in order to defend the entire middle of the map you have to have your units moving around a lot and it is very easy for your vehicles to get hit from the side, ect. My old favorite map was angoville, this is now what I play with my friends when we LAN. It provides a unique CoH experience.
Overall: 10/10
Scores: Total Score: (10+9+9+10)38/40 Overall Score: 9.5 rounded to 10!
Reviewer Notes: This map is just wow! As I said earlier, my friend and I now LAN all the time on this map. It has replaced Angoville as my new 1 v 1 favorite in just a matter of days. The balance makes this map feel like it was meant for competitive play but at the same time the amazing detail just gives the map such depth. Resources are perfect, the design is perfect, and the amount of fun while playing this map is perfect! A+ on this map man and I really hope to see more maps in the future.

Very nice map! However the .sqa format doesn't work with some custom mods. Would you be able to upload the .sqb format so that I can play it with a custom mod? Thanks in advance!
This map has been updated on November 2th 2007, to reballance it for Opposing Fronts
Thanks a lot for updating this awesome map with both the sga & sgb files. The weather changing effects look cool. Just played a few matches with the bots in the Advanced AI Mod and boy that was fun. btw will this map (the sga file) work online? (If I host a game on this map and if the other person has this map would it work?) Cheers!

Actually it's a known bug, that with OF .sga maps do no longer work online, but from qduffys words they will fix it with patch 2.104 which is not too far away. But .sgb version in -dev mode works defenitely online too. For this both of you need to run the game in -dev mode.

Cool. So using the .sgb + -dev mode should be working online now? Or do we need to wait for the next patch for that?
Since this map was rated so well I wanted to open it up in world builder, see if i could get any building tips from it. But, when I try to open it, it gives me this message: File is not in any known projects! what does that mean and how do I fix it?
