GameReplays.org is proud to announce a 1v1 tournament open to all players with a total cash prize of $200! The winner will receive 125 dollars, the runner up will receive 50 dollars and 25 dollars will go to the player with the most innovative (winning) strategy. GameReplays is dedicated to hosting a quality tournament where the best players will reign supreme. There are currently 256 slots available and the winners will advance with the standard bracket to the finals where the last two players will fight it to the death in a best of 5 games to win.
The tournament is open to everyone, however only the best 256 players will join the tourney. The first round of the tournament will officially start Tuesday, May 22 until Sunday, May 27.
Rules:
Games are to be played using the latest patched version of TWC with the following settings: • Game Type: Supremacy 1v1. • Map: Standard, Normal size. • Bracket Type: Single elimination, best of three and the finals will be best of five. No losers brackets. • Home city level: All • Civilization: All civs are allowed, but you need to use at least 2 different civs in each round. In the final games at least 3 different civs are to be used. • All games are to be recorded • Other: Normal. No special settings
The game may be restarted in case of a heavy map screw (missing tc/explorer/crates or really ridiculous hunts/trees/mine). If the opponent wants he can ask for an admin decision whether or not it was a map screw. Use of any cheats will result in disqualification from the tournament and a 30% warn and a 4 week suspension from the GR forums.
The tournament is open to everyone, however the best 256 players will join the tourny (with exeption of GR staff). The signup will start Friday and will end Friday 18 March.
