GameReplays is proud to annouce the opening of the World in Conflict section.
World in Conflict is due out later this year and is being developed by Sierra, and published by Vivendi. A few lucky people from GameReplays.org are testing it currently in Los Angeles (Click here for testing info).
World in Conflict is a hybrid between RTS and FPS and is being designed for the 'hardcore' player. Therefore we think it's a great game to be supporting. A portal will follow in good time!
Hehe, earlier you were all like "no point in supporting WiC, no basebuilding, only tactics and a complete micro game, why would anyone want to watch a replay?"

yeah i remembered that from that first topic i made in mess hall .
The only reason is because they announced 1v1 support. Without 1v1, there are no replays, therefore there is no way we can support this to any great extent other than a discussion forum.
can somebody explain the "FPS" part of this game to me? Ive been reading (IGE/Gamespot etc) and havent seen any mention of the FPS side. Is it truly first person mouse aim?
You use both mouse to look, and WASD to move. It's a shooter-ish viewing, but with great zoom in and out, plus you can look at the horizon and sky, so your face isn't planted into the dirt like with RTSs. It's also shooterish because you pick from a variety of unit kits/roles you want to play, then you get cash to buy units, whereas in some shooters, you buy your guns. It also is a team-orientated game.
