Mac's is a convenience store chain here in the province of Ontario, Canada. They are actually selling Frosters (ie big Slushies like at 7/11) in three crazy named sizes: WTF, OMGWTF, AUNTSMGWTF. I think it is an awesome add campaign, but it's really pushed some buttons with parents etc... Mind you viral marketing can be nasty on the turnaround.
To be honest I'm pretty sure the names of the sizes have been changed now.

Rule #1 in advertising: make it crystal clear what you are advertising. Rule #2 in advertising: don't assume people know who you are. Rule #3 in advertising: don't piss people off
Mac's advertising agency has failed miserably.
That second commercial looks like PAINT is coming out of the stereo. So are they advertising frosters or paint? Or am I supposed to assume I know that Macs is a convenience store chain and that they are selling frosters, and are not primarily some ghetto hardware store that gives you paint in a cup instead of paint in a can........................
Lol. These were REAL commercials. This campaign really did happen here in Canada. Viral marketing. All they needed to do was post the videos, (I think some of them even aired on TV once) and bam, they spread like wildfire. The Mac's logo at the end is pretty recognizable up here. And despite the backlash, and the need to change the drink size names, they have still been doing well this summer so far selling their Frosters.
