Ok, imo, I think the pros will try SC2 (obviously) but unless the macro is balanced out so it's not just ez mode, most will prob stick with SC1...unless huge SC2 money tourneys and such pop up. I think war3 pros might be more likely to switch to sc2 tho.
And as for pro leagues/tourneys in north america, it might be possible with SC2 since it has the background for it, and many more people will be interested this time around. So hopefully sc2 can spark lots of stuff in North America/europe too.
