Since your dearest game admin made a poll like this for CoH OF, but forgot his own game, maybe because of too much to do, i have decided to make it for him, in order to help.
Based on personal experience, what do you feel about each point?
Balance is a slight misnomer with almost completely mirrored sides.
Your a bit misinformed. Heres a few differences off the top of my head and without going into fine details.
Soviet Heavy Tanks win against American Heavy Tanks. American Mediums win against Soviet Mediums. Light tanks is rather a toss up.
Soviet Medium Air-Air choppers lose against American Medium Air-Air choppers. They have less dps but have more powerful missles. Soviet heavy air choppers are more power then American heavy to compensate.
Soviet Arty is more of a high burst small impact damage. American Arty is a large AoE damage.
American Sniper has one man in it, Soviet sniper has two men and thats not just cosmetic.
The special abilities on many of the units function differently.
Do not forget all the TA cost, dps, aoe, recharge time, deployment time etc. Or unit movement speed, directional damage given and taken. Turning speed of tank turrets and tanks etc. This might not be factional balance but it was balanced many times over.

i agree, but i feel it has to be in, because of balance as in Air vs inf, and unit relative balance to eachother.
If you think Air and Infantry is suppose to counter each other, I think you need to look up what the counters really are. There is a distinct balance design in this game that you might be missing completely. Every role is not suppose to be a hard counter to every other role. Thats about as retarded as you making this poll to copy-cat myself and put in snide little comments at the top of it.
Air might be shit against infantry but it rocks face against armor and against arty. Infantry might be great against air but its useless against well positioned support players. At infantry might be great against tanks but has insignificant AA capabilities. Regular Infantry might be great against air but is terrible against armor. AA Infantry might be great against armor in a city but its terrible in open terrain and vulnerbale to being run over. Armor is great against support and other armor players and infantry in the open. There is a whole counter system in place that you seem completely oblivious to as mentioned before. According to your example, Air should be used against Heavy AA.

Overall: 9 - Well rounded and designed game. Don't know that it's perfect in every aspect, so no 10.
Gameplay: 9. Plays really well, again, just not sure about giving that extra +1 score out.
Balance: Yes, it's not a strict mirror, but in general the sides function the same with nearly the same stats. It would have been nice to see more implementation of the massive list of design changes we suggested in the alpha and beta, thus making the sides more unique. Voted 9.
Fun Factor: Easily a 10. First game in a long time i've been this excited about.
Gfx: 10 again - it's beautiful. Puts other recent games to shame.
Replay System: Gave it a 5, and in some respects thats generous, but we'll wait to see what reviewing tools they improve or add on to the boxed version.

Amazing info Vits ^^ , I wish you can compile a guide that compares each unit side by side between different factions.
I fully agree the replay system needs a revamp, I hope they do it in some future patch, other than that I gave it straight 9's and 10's.

I chose not to vote as its great when youre working with people you know but 99 times out of a hundred I pubb and I absolutely hate pubbing and havnt the time to commit to a clan.
Just want to comment my 1 for the replay systeme because we can do nothing with it and because i find it stupid to put a program out of the game only to show the replays . . .
I gave it an overall 9. Fantastic gameplay, very innovative, Great Graphics, extremly fun, the only problem is the replay system but like I have said before this game doesn't seem to have the appeal in replays like some other games do but the gameplay more than makes up for that
I would like to add that in the thread "a list of differences of each side" i stated that after testing a 1v1 on the american and russian tank the russia would win even though the american shoot first....everyone said it was one of ..now who's laughing i told u so..if u dont believe me go read the threat and buy the way i own the game brought it yesterday which for me was th 17th at 200pm..harvey norman release it early..havent been able to play multi cause it doesnt go online til the 18th but the game is sweet love it to death..... who's laughing now hahahahahhahaha
