Has anyone noticed that both Ebuyer and Overlockers price on delivery is rather expensive?

A site i didnt even think of for computer parts has the exact same product for five pound cheaper or more.

I ordered a 512ram and a headset. It saved me an extra 15/20quid lol.

Play.com , who would have thought it? I didnt even know they had that sort of pc stuff.

The orignal product price is costs more but after ebuyer/overclockers add the VAT and delivery, play.com wins out on the price.

As soon as play.com starts getting a wider selection on computer parts, cases and motherboards they are going to have a field day. + the search facility needs some tweaking for the computer stuff but apart from that play.com rules lol.

I am very happy with my purchases as u can see. lol

I am sure it doesn't have the same stuff and knowledge that specific PC sites have. Shipping on OC'ers.com is just 10 pounds for a pc.

Ebuyer you can do the 5 day saver = free shipping. I think overclockers have some free shipping deals at the moment.

By the way, has anyone bought from overclockers/ebuyer? are they reliable?

___

Play is alright for the odd stuff, after all thats where they started off more or less. There not quite upto date on their GPU prices:

BFG 8800 GTX = £270 lol

yea i've bought already a lot of stuff from ebuyer starting from gpu/cpu and all other pc parts to a lcd tv. they never let me down and i hope they won't let me down in the future. I'm just mad cuz of shipping charge to Northern Ireland but still all their stuff is a lot cheaper than some local retailer smile.gif

I can tell you that overclockers are very reliable, and effective.

Returning is a bit of a pain, (there's no page for it (at least when i looked for it)), but i don't know what the others who complained about it did. I emailed them, and got a reply within two days, and everything went smoothly.

Happily pay the extra few £ for the peace of mind that they offer good support.

Overclockers are, as you said, very reliable and I have never had a problem with them.

If you need to send soemthing back you should use their webnote system.
