On PC Gamer UK magazine, on one of the back pages they always show you a preview of the next issue.

There is a silhouette of a Space Marine against the sun and underneath it says

"A New Dawn"

Jolly good job Gorays ! I'd say that is a pretty good sign of a Dawn of War 2 unless the folk at PC Gamer Magazine has good insane and decided to mix a few Warhammer 40k things together and see how people react.

Well, that silhouette does look like an FC with cape (wolf pelt anyone? smilie_naughty.gif ) and a PS + PF, so who knows?

Given the clear silhouette of the Space Marine and the line with 'New Dawn' beneath it, I can hardly imagine it being anything else than DoW2. But this isn't confirmation, damn close though...

I'd be surprised if they didn't try and adapt Dawn of War to the Essence Engine, quite honestly.

Me too, it looks like a perfect fit for a DoW 2. Plus it would bring in a lot of cool stuff.. Squad AI, dynamic cover, tanks with armor depending on where it is hit.. it would be fantastic.

@Gorays: Even without Tyranids it would still be a hit, tyranids are just for those who like them.

Heh. Instead of fuel they can have plasma packs or somesuch, and it would be a glowing box with a flag sticking out of it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the essence engine incapable of close combat? Or could they just update the engine do cope with that?

@Thor: No discussion there, although soulstorm is fun and all that, DoW 2 would blow it away.. but on the other hand, we'll have a DoW game to play until DoW 2 comes out biggrin.gif

@Sneakydog: Actually i heard the exact opposite, that it is quite capabable of handling melee.
