Gamereplays is proud to announce that we will be hosting the third season of the popular Clan League. Rules are largely the same, but still listed below, as they were when hosted by SCL. Teams must include at least 4 people and have 1 of those designated as "Team Leader." The number of divisions and play weeks will be determined by the number of signups.
To sign up, simply post in this thread with your Team Name and Team Roster, also indicating which team member is the Team Leader.
Play will commence Sunday, June 1 at 5pm GMT (1pm Eastern/6pm BST/7pm CEST). Signups are open until 11:59pm GMT on Friday, May 30th. The map list and pairings will be posted on Gamereplays that following Saturday.
Rounds are held every Sunday at 5pm GMT in our own chat room. Just for clarification's sake, that is 1pm Eastern time, 6pm for all the UK players, and 7pm for the players on Central European time. At least 1 GR tournament mod per division should be present.
Rounds will consist of two 2v2 (Bo1) matches and three 1v1 (Bo3) matches.
Each player can only play in one 2v2 and one 1v1, thus a team must contain at least a minimum of 4 players.
A disconnect in under 5 minutes will result in a re-match. A disconnect after 5 minutes will be evaIuated by the tournament mod present. Under no circumstances will the player who disconnected be awarded a win, however, if it appears that he had the clear upper hand, a rematch may be granted. For this reason, every replay must be either uploaded to the Vault or to GR's own replay system.
Desync results in rematch or draw, again determined by tournament mod based on time available.
Game settings will be standard ranked settings. In the case where map for the 1v1 matches have 4 or even 6 spots, all superfluous spots are to be closed and the spawn positions set to 'Random'. In 2v2s, the spawns will be set to 'Fixed' so as to avoid a situation where a team is situated in opposite corners.
The Regeneration Field upgrade for the Seraphim ACU is banned.
No use of cheats or exploits, known or otherwise. Off-mapping will be allowed, but everything else will be left to the discretion of the tournament mod(s).
If a team is unable to play then they must give at least 24 hours notice. The notice must be in the form of a public notice in the Clan League Forum, as well as a PM to both the opposing team's leader and one to either Kryo or myself. Notifying later than that or any in manner deviating from that will result in the team forfeiting the round. Further, with the postponement notice, a clear proposal for a make-up date must also be presented. The final date for the postponed match can be negotiated by the teams for maximum efficiency, but the admins must be kept informed.
If a player does not show up after 15 minutes from starting time, the opposing team may demand a freewin for that match.
Each team is awarded 2 points for each match won. A score of 2-0 in a 1v1 results in a score of two points to the victor, as does a score of 2-1. A score of 1.5-1.5 (that is to say, a draw) results in each team gaining 1 point. The winning team in each 2v2 also gains 2 points for their team, and similarly, in the case of a draw, 1 point is awarded to each team. The death of an enemy ACU is immaterial to the final score.
Each clan must appoint a leader who must post his/her lineup at the start of a season and notify of any desire to postpone matches etc. Any players added to the team after the start of the clan league may be eligible based on the consensus of the League Admins. Until a ruling is made on such players, however, they are to be considered ineligible, and any matches played by them will result in a forfeiture of that match.
The league will be a round-robin, that is, every team will play every other team.
Maps will be selected from a pre-determined pool. After sign-ups are closed and the number of teams per division finalized, a full map list for each week will be posted at least one week prior to the first play date.
