game wont load with new patch, quick hourglass

after patching SC-forged alliance to 3599, i get an hourglass for a second or less and then nothing happens.
the game loads just fine without patching. whats up?
intel core2 quad Q6600 2.4ghz
4gb ram
winxp, service pack 3
evga nvidia geforce 8800GTS

Sounds like the patch might have corrupted your install. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the whole game (both Sup Com and FA) and patching from scratch. If that doesn't work, then let us know.
