Hey folks, I'll be posting an update soon on Relic.com on where we're heading with the balance playtest. Essentially we're starting the (lengthy) process of wrapping it up and getting the patch ready to go out to the retail version.
We're looking for some general feedback on the beta patch. Please list your top 3 choices for best change (Yes, it fixed something!) in the balance playtest and your top 3 choices for worst (Causing new problems? Didn't fix what it was supposed to?).
Best 3 1. Mortar Pit moved in the right direction. 2. RES and Captain bonuses to emplacements toned down. 3. Wehrmacht Vet reworked - Support and Vehicle veterancy made viable.
Worst 3 1. British Resource Advantage in Team Games totally neglected. 2. OR Nerf - Did not address the problem with light armor gaining a disproportionate benefit. 3. Trenches were not addressed whatsoever.
1. British emplacement nerfs 2. AC Nerf 3. G43 Nerf
Worst 3
1. Resource sharing, no one should have a free OP. 2. Over Repair. Its stupid. 3. Elite infantry spamming has still not been looked at. How about trying for a week or 2 in the beta how the game would play out with Hard caps for these units?
(GLIDER CRUSH must be fixed!!)

bad stuff------ medic/repair/mg bunkers not being able to be garrisoned. roflmen vet buffs. puma vet tables, no resource sharing fix, no nerf to elite ranger armor, or reinforcement raise for airborne blobs. overrepair still not looked at, AA weapons being totally useless vs. strafe/bomb run, flank speed should be totally removed from the game (totally ridiculous ability that caters to noobs w/ no micro) and last but not least, NERF COMMANDO GLIDER CRUSH PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE!
good stuff----ac nerf vs rifleman, mortor pit being destroyed easier by saf, g43 nerf, m8 dodge madness nerfed.

best: emplacement armor nerf against small arms (mg and rifles) emplacement captain bonus nerf (1.5 to 1.25) bren carrier moverment accuracy nerf and close range nerf.
worst: accuracy and damage change on the LT aura bonus. (IMO it didn't do anything) overwatch cooldown instead (it didn't go high enough) puma dodge bonus (nigh impossible to hit them)
- OF Factions toned down - Netcode improved - who needs a semi-/balanced game what isnt playable in the way it could be played?
- Volks scale better into midgame - under reserve.
Worst:
- Heroic Charge/Fireup not addressed - I dont call the minor munition cost as a fix. - Ressource Sharing still not addressed - Puma dodge bonus with vet.
- Various PE nerfs - Wehr T3 buffs - US armor doctrine more reliable
Worst
- Puma dodge bonus - Falls ambush buff - Churchill turned into 3cp tank destroyer
Ignored
- resource sharing, overwatch, overrepair, button, trenches, gilder crush and other fancy brit stuff - Unfinished tanktrap and jeep vs ketten exploits - Free supertanks
1. Emplacement nerf through lower health bonuses and better bullet penetration. 2. Armored Car / Infantry HT nerfs vs. Rifles to make the US-PE matchup better. 3. Wehr Nebelwerfer, Stormtrooper and StuG buffs/fixes for a better Wehr Tier 3.
Worst:
1. Puma dodge bonuses. A unit that magically avoids so many shots just isn't right. 2. Airborne strafe overnerf. It needed to be toned down but 175 munis for an ability that suppresses but kills few or even nobody isn't balanced. 3. Overrepair nerf through faster decay doesn't seem significant enough. The ability's silliness aside, the max health bonus could be lowered or the ability limited to certain targets only, no more overrepaired Brens.
Most needed:
1. Glider crush. Enough has been said. 2. Make trenches non-deletable so there's actually a risk of them falling to your enemy. 3. Rework countersniping by giving snipers 100% accuracy against one another, except when retreating. Missing twice while trying to countersnipe as Wehr isn't fun.
Best - AC Nerf against Riflemen - Brit Emplacement Nerfs - Arty Cooldown Nerfs
Worst - Not fixing Resource Sharing for 2 v 2, this is a must Fix for the game to have long term playability! - Not Putting a upfront and real cost for the King Tiger and Panther! - Trenches only having hard counters, they desperately need to be made so that you can take them out with small arms. The concept of them basically being invulnerable even with guys standing on their heads is plain game breaking.
Best 1.Mortar pit being more vulnerable to small arms fire 2.Strafing run, it wasn't perfect in fact it's probably an over-nerf but strafing run did need to be toned down. 3.Bren Carrier nerfs, not convinced it's enough yet though.
Worst 1.WM vehicle dodge bonuses w/ vet, far too strong considering they also get bonuses against certain weapons and for moving. 2.Churchill changes - they're supposed to be good against infantry but worthless against heavy armour. A 3cp off-map tank with good all-round ability is a bad idea. 3.WM upgraded bunker being ungarrisonable, this change just seems so pointless and unwanted by the community.
Since you asked the six to relate to changes that have been made I left these until after.
I can't believe you're considering ending the beta without fixing or even addressing ghost TTs blocking vehicles and overwatch, the TTs are essentially an abuse and overwatch WILL be the most overpowered ability if the current patch is used.

Best changes 1. Strafing run is no "I win" button anymore 2. PE balancing in general (including a working Henschel!) 3. Improvement of the network reliability
Worst changes 1. Med bunker not garrisonable, instead the body count should have been increased (for CCS as well) 2. Churchill changes - behemoth tank hunters at 3 CP - wtf! Is the british base rush now the rule? 3. Still OP allied resource shares - will continue to make british hateable in multiplayer
Not happened but desperately needed 1. Ghost tank traps + Jeep exploit not fixed (this will cause more rage in games) 2. Overrepair 3. British lieutenant bonusses are too strong at Vet1
