Red Alert 3

Can someone help me with this stratagy. the person usually goes pp, ref, wf, ref, sp, expand then af. first he build a terror drone and then usually about 3 sickles.

my build order is rax, pp, ref, ref, pp, wf most of the time. By the time i scout his fast wf, it is too late for me to switch. hes terror drones kill any infantry i try and build to kill sickles and by the time i have a sickle he has 3 and a TD! i can usually kill of the attack but b then he has all expanded and builds twinblades. now i have to build bullfrogs or something to counter.

Basically i find myself behind from the beginning of the game all the way to the end and usually end up losing to this strat unless i happen to go fast wf as a coincidence. any help? much would be appreiciated!

Ok, never get another pp after your ref. If your going to get wf, then sell off the rax and don't get a pp. a rax only costs 500 and sells for 250, so you'd only spend 250 getting a new one, and it's rarely viable to keep buiding infantry after you get a wf unless your opponent is going infantry himself.

actually just build vinds problem solved oh and also since this is the soviet forum, im going to be an idiot and post a picture of the so called "soviet god" at least i heard him be called that once. I found this and couldnt stop myself XP

Can someone plz tell me what I did wrong and what I should have done better in this game. I know my micro sucked but that wasn't the main reason...

Well there's not really a right or a wrong.

The thing is you played against Destructo and you played against her on HER map. She knows all the tricks and she knows how to out-play you and pretty much everyone there. You lost simply because Destructo is better than you. I'm sorry to say this, but that's basically the reason.

In order to beat Des some day you gotta practice and practice and gain experience.

One thing I can tell you though is that I would have built the War Fac before expanding. That gives you the chance to put some pressure on your opponent.

This is me at my peak level playing against Vertigo. He didn't play on the level Des plays on FI but it should give you an impression on how to pressure your opponent early.

I might have formulated my last comment pretty badly. You can be outplayed without doing any major mistakes if your opponent is better than you. That's why I can't really point out your mistakes.

If Destructo wants to be called "she", I don't see why we shouldn't oblige her. Is it right that we force people to reveal any part of their real-life?
Most people don't like to reveal their real email or real name. So I think it follows that, if someone doesn't want to reveal their real gender, then they are entitled to do so.

Even irl a person has this unassailable right as pointed out in The Life of Brian...

Yes, sorry for taking this thread wildly off track. Now back to strategy. I think when it comes to beating someone like Destructo or any top 20 player, you really have to learn about that player and know their strengths and weaknesses. Apart from examining their games of course, you can sometimes find other resources ...
