Relic is very communicative about Dawn of War 2, not only do they have an Official DoW II Community Blog, an Official DoW II Twitter Feed and an Official DoW II Facebook Page but they also post on several forums (including this one) to cool down/hype up their fans. This thread humbly tries to give an overview of select developer quotes and search links. Many of their statements are probably not always official and it might be dangerous to take them out of context but they could be indicative of what to expect in the coming months. The developers do post quite a lot of juicy tidbits which you won't always read about in press releases or on the blog. Thanks to everyone who spots new and interesting information.

Unfortunately, I can't help but remember that they promised the space bar thing (among others) for the 0 day patch. I wonder how long it'll take to implement all these things...
Humble bump since I've updated the original post with info coming from the Penny Arcade forum (remembered Relic peeps were posting there too), especially Croak gave some nice info (just today, total coincidence ); seems like the code patch will be out early April (ai , though other devs have said this before apparently) but he'll explain more things about it tomorrow perhaps.
The other devs have gone silent since last week, the fact the patch seems to be at least two weeks off might explain that.
I'd sticky this if someone comitted to keeping it updated, otherwise it'll become irrelevant too quickly
Sure, I'll keep it updated if you want, I just put in some renewed links for the PA posts, old ones didn't work apparently. Though there are a lot of stickied threads already... If some quoted posts become useless (because of a code patch that does what is promised) then I'll remove the quotes to keep things clean.

Yup but they're basically saying the same (except 'soon' is now 'very soon' ) as before it seems, TASK3R also promised that Relic still has a lot in store for DoW II players.
But I've updated the main post with the map feedback stuff and TASK3R's reply that Relic is aware of map imbalances, those two sound like new subjects at least.

Yeah, but they're not only looking at the votes, I've put new comments from the devs in the main post about how they want their feedback.
Also, that new podcast interview with one of the devs delivered some interesting answers, I've listed the most interesting quotes from that in the main post as well.
- Jager on first code patch ETA and second code patch ETA [26/3/2009]: We have one patch that has already been finalized and is in cert, and then another bigger patch which will be finalized in a few weeks.
That sounds nice so we will have a patch in lets say 2 weeks? I wonder what they fixed there.
We have one smaller patch that will be out in the next few weeks (it's at GFWL cert), and a bigger one coming relatively soon after that (we're putting the final touches on it internally).
The first patch addresses some major issues (code-fix for the pop-cap bug, the colour hack, improved matchmaking to name a few). The larger patch contains many fixes, improvements, and new features and content.
Nice catch, I've added it to the first post. At this rate I am gonna hit the text limit pretty fast though. Hopefully the patches arrive soon so I can remove some quotes.
