There are a few very simple rules to posting shoutcasts:
1) Each thread title must be in the following format: Shoutcast #, Version Number, Video (if there is any), Particpant #1 (Commander) vs Participant #2 (commander). You can have whatever you want in the topic description.
For example. This is a correct title: #117[1.1.3][Video]Truenappa (FS) vs Shockweave (Mek)
This is an incorrect title: n00b series - ep1: The Jouney Begins
If you don't follow the format your first shoutcast you may be forgiven and have it just fixed by myself or my GCs. If you consistently don't follow the format or we think you should know better we're just going to have "fun" with your threads until you get it right.
2) There are several codes used to embed replays and videos. These are:
[xwegame] The Title of your video on wegame [/xwegame], for embedding videocasts hosted on wegame.
[xreplay]ReplayID#[/xreplay], for embedding a replay hosted on gr.org. The replay ID number is found in the url of the replay. This is an excellent guide to embedding replays by TDA.
[xfilefront]filefront file url[/xfilefront], for embedding streaming video's hosted on filefront.
Just take out the x's from the code and it will work.
3) Everybody is allowed post shoutcasts, however I would offer these tips to new casters just to get you started in the right direction.
-Don't just re-iterate what you see on screen, your viewers have eyes and don't need to be told. -Video's generally get many more views, your best recording option is to use fraps, feel free to PM staff Gamecasters with questions. -Bring something unique to your video. It doesn't matter if it's deep strategic insight or being a great entertainer, but there should always be something viewers get out of your cast that they wouldn't otherwise have gotten from just watching the replay.
