Does anyone know where I can buy RotWK? I checked four local gaming stores, Amazon, hell, even eBay, the game is gone or being sold at a very high price ($93!?). I'm guessing EA stopped making the game all together when they lost the LotR copyright?

You could look for that Trilogy set thing (contains BFME, BFME2, and ROTWK) But getting a physical copy besides that will be hard.

According to Amazon, that's $122 dollars... What does everyone play? I have the original BFME 2, but it doesn't look like anyone on GR is playing that still, no new replays.

I had to hunt the Anthology (the 3 pack) down online. Closest one in stores was about a 2hr drive from where I live. Might check an EB games and have them look it up in the system; maybe there'll be a copy closer to you.

Otherwise, look around the web. I know EA still sells it as a download, but I can understand if you'd prefer a hard copy (I'm that same way).

I went to a local GameStop and had them check the system, the closest store that had the game was up in New York (I live in Virginia), and that search included all EBgames stores too!

I completely forgot about the EA store, thanks for the tip, it'll save me a lot of trouble, and probably money, to just download the game.

Well I have no reason to lie about it, it's either not available or being sold at a ridiculously high price, here's a link to it on Amazon and eBay.

If you have BfMe2, downloading is the cheapest route, as no hard copy has to be manufactured, no DVD burned, etc. Plus, you can download it a couple times, if I recall correctly. So if your computer crashes, you not screwed. If you computer crashes a couple times though, you'll have to pay again.

Glad I could help, though I'm not sure how I did it. laugh.gif

I wouldn't have remembered EA's online download manager if it wern't for your post, hence, I thank you for posting.

The game is downloaded and working properly with the 2.02d patch, I have one small question left though. I've been watching some of the replays here on GR.org, they can last for hours, how do I speed up/slow down a replay?

$93 for an expansion pack that is far worse than the base game (when not using our patch)? lol

Most GR replays don't last more than an hour at most and the vast majority much less... are your graphics higher than the defaults tongue.gif

Hmm, I'll try the game on High instead of Ultra High, I do tend to overestimate my graphics card. It was new two years ago!

High is also too high for on line games it will make the game lag even if your card is godly just use medium...(lol pros use low which sucks tbh...just to avoid a portion of the lag)

As a general rule of thumb, one setting lower than the default is enough to run the game full speed.

download it from EA download manager, you can now download it as many times as you want, and you have no issues with losing CD key etc, as they are all saved to your account!
